I finally caught a film screening at Vidiots! (@vidiots)

I attended a screening of the J-horror film Pulse (2001), directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

I got there shortly before my screening, which meant that although I had time to browse for a bit, I didn’t have time to rent anything or use the photo booth. That’s fine, though. It just gives me an excuse to visit again soon. by @corpseprincess666

🕸️ From my recent trip to Tennessee. I took sooo many pictures but I never posted any. These are mostly from the shooting range.

Another cute solo date. I went to a 35mm screening of The Lost Boys at Brain Dead Studios. It was such a fun way to experience one of my favorite movies. It would have been 100x better to see with my twin sister though.

♡ Finally got to visit Blast From The Past in Burbank, the other day. Easily one of the coolest shops I’ve been to. They had shelves filled with horror and sci fi memorabilia, collectibles, comics, and a good selection of used books at great prices. This is definitely the kind of place you can wander through for hours and still miss things. taken in Blast from the Past by @corpseprincess666

Here’s a seemingly random set of photos from my visit to Amoeba the other day. I’ll explain each slide in my stories later today when I get a chance. taken in Amoeba Hollywood by @corpseprincess666

Had a rough time the other day, so I went for a drive to clear my head.

Ended up in Ventura and randomly found this nice little comic book shop.

Picked up Absolute Batman #15 and the foil variant too (couldn’t resist). It’s part of the new Absolute Universe where Batman is reimagined in a darker, more “grounded” version of Gotham with a bigger focus on the psychological side of Bruce’s fight against crime. (one of the most interesting changes in this Universe compared to the classic DC version is that Bruce grows up working class instead of a billionaire heir)

I also got Absolute Batman: Ark M which is a one-shot also set in the Absolute Universe that focuses on Ark M (this universes version of Arkham Asylum). The story definitely leans into horror and explores the darker, more extreme side of how this version of Gotham deals with villains.

The gas station I stopped at didn’t have any sugar free Red Bulls for some reason, so I tried the Blue Juneberry flavor instead. Honestly… it was surprisingly good.

Finished the day at the gym. taken in Arsenal Comics & Games by @corpseprincess666

Yesterday was fun ݁ ˖Ი𐑼⋆
Finally hit BookOff for the first time at the Lakewood location and I was NOT prepared. Games, consoles, DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, vinyls, and so much Japanese merch like manga, figures, and Pokémon cards. Picked up Moon Phase (4 & 6), Vampire Knight (2), and Tokyo Ghoul (7 featuring the infamous Jason torture scene). Have you visited any of their locations? If so, which one should I visit next? by @corpseprincess666

“I find it difficult to understand the kind of human being who lives, or who is sure he can live, purely, happily, serenely while engaged in deceit. Human beings never did teach me that abstruse secret. If I had only known that one thing I should never have had to dread human beings so, nor should I have opposed myself to human life, nor tasted such torments of hell every night.”
