On Friday we had a huge life event... we officially finalised the sale of our first home, and moved into our forever home! 🏡

It was emotional saying goodbye to our safe haven for the last (almost) 9 years. The house that Josh carried me over the threshold when we tied the knot in 2017, then brought home our fluffy Rivie a month later 😂😻, welcomed Elbie 👶🏼 in 2019, then spent COVID bouncing off the walls and working from home, welcomed Ardey 👶🏻 in 2022 and all the other wonderful and many memories in-between. That house saw it all, our 20s to our 30s.

Now we have a new adventure, the house we will make into our forever family home. The dream we've been working towards 🏡✨. It's been a hectic few days as we've dived straight in to renovations with two kids 😂, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Shout out to our amazing family, who without their help - moving day wouldn't have been easy to say the least! They grafted, cleaning the house and lugging our furniture from one house to the other (we only moved two doors up, call us crazy 🤣), absolutely drenched with the rain, but there for us when we needed them! ❤️. We owe you some bevs 🍻. It really does take a village sometimes, from helping us with the boys for sleepovers 🛌🏻 and school pickups, helping us store boxes on top of boxes, to making us home cooked meals and bringing us packing equipment - we love you guys 🥹, and thank you. You've made a stressful time, so much easier for us and the boys ❤️.

Happy 7th birthday my angel, you make me beam with pride every day - the sweetest and kindest soul I know, you are genuinely so thoughtful and I'm so blessed that you're my son ❤️. For some reason this birthday feels more emotional than the others, still my baby but somehow so independent. You are intelligent, compassionate and simply beautiful from the inside out. Where the fairies live 🧚‍♂️... Stainforth Scar ➡️ Catrigg Force walk today to see the waterfall and panoramic views of the Three Peaks, Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside 🍃🏞️

Impromptu walking route chosen after an hour's drive when we realised Josh forgot to do his homework when choosing Ingleton Falls, and that it costs a ridiculous amount per person for the walk itself... who knew?! Not us, apparently 🤣. So that was scrapped, and a quick Google later I found a new (free) walk 😏 with the best picnic spot next to the waterfall ✨.

Ardey fell over a total of 16 times, found the biggest chunks of ice and collected enough sticks and rocks to build a fort 😂. We had zero whining for all 3 (ish) miles and the boys tired themselves out = family walk success 🥹👏. taken in Catrigg Force Waterfall, Near Settle, Yorkshire by @correnalyssa
