This week was so much more than just building a house. I had the blessing of becoming friends with Alex and sweet Viviana, the kids who will be growing up in the home we built. Even with a language barrier, we still laughed, learned from each other, and made memories I will never forget. Saying goodbye to them was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done because they made such a big impact on my heart. I was also able to meet a little boy named Alberto, one of the workers’ kids, who was full of energy and so smart. One moment I’ll always remember is when he saw my tattoo, pointed at a piece of wood, and said “cross,” and then said “Jesus” in Spanish. In such a simple moment, it reminded me that faith connects people in ways that go far beyond language, and it showed me again that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. taken in Guatemala by @correndoise

To say camp is my favorite place is an understatement! I found myself praying to God just thanking Him for giving me a place like Pineywoods to freely worship. This place has truly changed my life from me being a shy 6th grader to a senior crying in worship because we have such amazing God. I want to thank Renew Youth Ministry for letting me grow in my relationship with Christ. At the end of the day it’s always been us students and God has kept us together and I am so grateful to be apart of it. taken in Pineywoods Camp by @correndoise
