It was an HONOR to be featured in the 45th Annual Jacksonville MLK Day Parade to celebrate the life, legacy, and work of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. I had the honor to be featured along with my Jr Miss Juneteenth of Florida USA Camryn Butts, and Little Miss Juneteenth of Florida USA Jayel Daymond! We were able to meet and connect with the Miss and Jr Miss Juneteenth's of Jacksonville at the MLK Day celebration at James Weldon Johnson Park; and each showed off our unique talents where I was able to recite my own poetry about Claudette Colvin. To finish off the day we were able to enjoy lemonade from The Lemon Laid Lady's stand, and were able to support many local black owned businesses! taken in Jacksonville, Florida by @corrin_elise

This is friendship.
Two teens showing up as themselves, comfortable, supported, and surrounded by a community that feels safe.
No performance. No labels. Just connection, trust, and genuine joy.

This is what it looks like when young creatives are allowed to grow together, encourage one another, and simply exist in the moment.

Little girls dream fairy-tale dreams — and tonight, those dreams came true.

Say hello to your Ms. Juneteenth Colorado and Ms. Juneteenth Florida! THE iconic 2 + 8 duo (28 is pretty great!). Together, we’re building legacies, celebrating sisterhood, and carrying forward the spirit of Juneteenth with pride and purpose.

For me, the legacy I want to leave is one of representation, resilience, and restoration. Showing every little girl that she can wear her crown not just on her head, but in her heart. I want to be remembered for turning opportunities into openings for others, and for reminding the next generation that freedom’s story isn’t finished, we are still writing it.

The woman who inspires me most is every Black woman who dared to dream in color when the world only saw in black and white. From the strength of our ancestors to the grace of modern queens, their footsteps paved the path I proudly walk today.

"Show Your Inner Royalty" Day 3: EXCELLENCE 👑

For today's social media challenge, we were encouraged to share our proudest achievements or a skill that we've mastered! Today I'm sharing a moment that to me, embodied black excellence; being surrounded by incredible creative leaders in performing arts! The highlight of this night was absolutely being able to present THE Danny Glover with the Urbanfest360 Lifetime Achievement Award!

Story time: So I was in town for the @orlandofashionweek_int modeling casting! Which of course was an amazing 10/10 experience. I was able to see familiar faces, such as @carilyneglee (aka the model godmother) and make new connections. My mom and I stayed a little bit longer to enjoy the @urbanfest360 film festival, and while I was there, we ended up getting to chat with the creators of the film festival! We had a great conversation, and they quickly decided they had something "very special" that they needed me to do! 👀I had no idea what the "very special" thing would be til'about 20 minutes later when we find out I'm going to be presenting THE Danny Glover with a lifetime achievement award, and accepting it on his behalf. 😱

I've always wanted to present at an award show at one point in my life, and it was truly a surreal experience! 🥹I was able to accept an award on the behalf of someone who I've looked up to as an aspiring actor, and grew up seeing him on the big screen.

After presenting, I was honored to be able to speak to so many highly decorated actors, such as @kellitasmith1, @realchrisgreene, and even @wwwjustleon. I had the opportunity to chat with them about my platform, how my reign as Miss Juneteenth was going, and even receive some inspiring advice!! This was a moment that filled myself, my family, and community with pride!
