Making time for illustrations always makes my heart glad. Every closed door does not represent denial.
Some doors need to be stepped through or kicked down!

I'm developing a comic series that uses the "Enneagram" as a driver to tell stories of self discovery and social reflection. This little fella is my depiction of a type "9" and often finds himself in sticky situations because he won't speak up for himself

Draw your city 🌆 🏠 Which one is your favorite? A building is just the subject...we decide how to portray it. After understanding it you can bend or break the rules to meet whatever style you are going for. We have photography to capture exact likeness, so as an artist I don't feel the need to recreate the subject as it is, but to re-present it in a way that adds or removes while maintaining the original character.

Draw your city. This is the tower on the Port Angeles Pier. The tower actually went under a renovation recently and I have many fond memories associated with it, especially the phone booth that lived in its shadow for a long time. It's also not the first time I have rendered this pier. The 2nd picture is one I painted over 10 years ago!

A challenging and rewarding art prompt by @svslearn We were challenged to create a set of face cards. I drew and colored these traditionally, so trying to match both sides was challenging. I enjoy how they turned out though. Kids dressing up as royalty and their enchanted fortress!

Draw your city.
I chose to draw the Port Angeles Visitor Center. Located just in front of the Port Angeles Wharf, the visitor center contains a wealth of information and is the meeting spot for fun tours like the Port Angeles underground tour!

Draw your city
Here is Feiro Marine Life Center. They educate and encourage community involvement in the preservation and restoration of local marine wildlife and their environments. The touch-tanks are a fun activity as well! Little known fact, I actually had an internship here

A few more old western studies before my focus on Port Angeles. The barrel and crate factory was a super fun study!

Drawing my city! We walk around our towns and often don't recognize the beauty in the structures. I recently found myself drawing buildings online for illustration practice, but realized that there is a huge selection of unique buildings surrounding me! I was born and live in Port Angeles, WA and am finally coming around to the charm of this old logging town turned doorstep to the Olympic Peninsula. This is The Port Angeles Wharf, which houses a number of amazing businesses and galleries. Love where you live.
