“In a way, he was like the country he lived in. Everything came too easily to him, but at least he knew it.”
A humble and deceptively complex line, seemingly perfect for the man he appeared to be to those of us who loved him through our screens.

One morning I ran out of meeting in 30 Rock to go stalk him down as I noticed he was walking off set. I thought I had a plan and things to say, but once I got sight of him and forgot even my own name as he and his team whisked by me, I sloppily shouted my grandfather’s (Harold Willens), and this beautiful man turned around immediately to meet my eyes - his full of consequential reflections.

At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, a teacher had told us to study those eyes. The way they instantly looked someone up and down for measure and then either took them in or brushed them aside. It was not only a lesson in acting, but a lesson for life.

I’m sure my mother will write a lovely obituary somewhere, so I will post that here once it’s published.

For now, from a house in Malibu he knew well, a reluctant farewell to Redford — an ‘All-American Smile.’

I went to HuffPost Live just to work with Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, and it was a profound privilege and joy to book for him for the better part of three years. The boundless empathy and heart comes out of his pores. Ahmed, an American journalist, has now been detained in Kuwait for 46 days. The Kuwaiti government must release our friend immediately. Journalism is NOT a crime. Sign the petition: https://cpj.movements.mov/pet/kuwait-release-journalist-ahmed-shihab-eldin-from-detention #FreeAhmed by @corvoresidence

40 years ago, these fun people said ‘fuck it’ and got surprise married at their moving to NY party.

And luckily, one of these people is a romantic husband who always remembers the date.

Thanks for being my people, @willensmichele and @davidcorvo.
