We finished out our wedding weekend with a Sunday brunch with all the guests who were still in town🤍🥓 🍳

We chose Stevens Point, WI because it was a good halfway point between where both of our families are from, and the wedding venue was so beautiful!

That being said, no one was actually from Stevens Point, so it meant the world to have more than 100 friends and family make the trip, especially my friends who flew and then drove so far from Houston and the besties I collected all over the country as a traveling news reporter! My bridesmaids flew in from North Carolina, Texas, Kansas, and Colorado. That commitment to our friendship means so much!

Love you guys so much🤍 It means the world that you came to help celebrate the beginning of such a happy chapter for us.

Keep the faith. God is so good.🤍

At the beginning of last year, right before Cory came along, I was hit with the biggest test.

All the evidence pointed to total hopelessness in love, and I was given the option of identifying with the evidence OR flinging myself on God and—without evidence—deciding that He is good and that the evidence of His goodness will eventually show itself, even though I don’t know how or when.

For months my bestie described me as an ascetic, fasting off every distraction of the world and learning blind faith.

Six months into that, along came Cory. God guided me right into his path. We became inseparable, and Cory started talking about his plan to marry me almost every day.

Seven months into dating, he proposed.

Six months into being engaged, we had our dream wedding.

Now we’re on a dreamy honeymoon in Hawaii.

God resoundingly answered my heart’s greatest desire in a matter of months, once I stopped trying to figure it out on my own.
