Took quite a while to get this second one done. Instead of the outside, I painted the insides two coats of black and one coat metallic to keep the light from bleeding through so much. I painted the outside a pearlescent white, as suggested by the kit. I found auto touch up paint was the cheapest option. Honda's color "white diamond" worked perfectly ($10 for 8oz airbrush ready, vs $6 for 0.5oz before adding thinner). Approximately 142 individual strands of fiber optics, and 18 LEDs went into that ship. by @cos_smith

I could have assembled this Enterprise 1:1,000) scale as-is and it would have been done in a day. I couldn't do that. I had to light it up. I had to drill into it, thread in some fiber optic, solder in some LEDs, resistors and connect it to bucking power supply, allowing it to work with any USB port. by @cos_smith
