As Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we want you to know: we see you, we honor you, and we are still here.

The end of a month of awareness is not the end of the conversation. It’s a reminder to keep showing up - for better treatments, brighter futures, stronger support, and every child whose story is still being written.

So this is our letter to you:
To the survivors.
To the families who stood beside them.
To the parents who never stopped believing.
To the children who showed us what courage looks like.

Your strength matters. Your story matters. Your future matters.

And together, we’ll keep working toward a world where every child facing cancer has the chance to grow, dream, heal, and thrive. by @cosf_foundation

Childhood cancer is more complex than many people realize.

We’re shining a light on the realities children and families face - from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and beyond.

Awareness matters. Research matters. Support matters.

By learning more, sharing accurate information, supporting families, and advocating for continued research, we can help move childhood cancer care forward and create better outcomes for children and survivors.

Let’s turn awareness into action: Learn. Share. Support. Advocate. by @cosf_foundation

Because surviving cancer is only part of the journey.

Pediatric cancer doesn’t end when treatment does. For children and their families, the journey can continue long after the last appointment - with emotional, physical, social, and financial challenges that can shape life well beyond treatment.

That’s why organizations like COSF exist: to support children and families beyond medical treatment, and to help make sure every child has the opportunity not just to survive, but to thrive.

This Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re sharing knowledge, starting conversations, and shining a light on what childhood cancer truly means for the whole family.

Because knowledge brings change. And change saves lives.

Continue to follow along this month as we learn, share, and advocate together. by @cosf_foundation

During treatment, supporting a child’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being is an important part of whole-person care. Wellness programs can create opportunities for connection, creativity, and moments of joy when they’re needed most.

At the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Artist in Residence (AiR) is one of those programs. Created in 2016 and supported by COSF, AiR brings specially curated art experiences to adolescents and young adults in the AYA room several times each month. As a proud hospital partner of COSF, CHA ensures these resources are accessible to the community. These experiences give patients a chance to create, connect, and take a break from the challenges of treatment.

This Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on the importance of holistic care - because supporting a child through cancer means caring for the whole child. by @cosf_foundation

Through the COSF Fund for Advancement in Wellness, we’re proud to support Children’s Hospital Colorado in caring for the whole child and the whole family.

From emotional support and Child Life services to art and music therapy, education, family resource navigation, and spiritual care - these programs help children and families cope, connect, and find moments of comfort throughout treatment.

Because wellness matters, families matter and every child deserves support beyond their diagnosis.

Together, we’re making wellness part of childhood cancer care. taken in Children’s Hospital Colorado by @cosf_foundation

This Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on what’s possible beyond a pediatric cancer diagnosis.

Meet Ethan Curtis, our 2026 Youth Ambassador.

A former high school football star, Ethan’s life changed when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt lymphoma during his junior year. After surgery, six months in the hospital and losing 70 pounds, he faced the loss of his football season - and the future he had imagined.

But cancer didn’t take his spirit.

Ethan returned to the field for his senior season, helping lead his team to the championship finals. Today, he’s thriving as a sophmore at the University of Utah and using his experience to bring hope to young patients and families across the country.

As a cancer survivor, Ethan knows firsthand how isolating treatment can feel - and how powerful it is to have something that brings joy, connection and hope. Now, he’s helping champion the role of creative therapies in pediatric cancer care and reminding young patients that their story doesn’t end in a hospital room.

This month, we honor every child and family facing cancer, celebrate the survivors, and continue working toward a future where every young patient has access to care that supports the whole child. by @cosf_foundation

We are thrilled to celebrate Pryce Lofton, a board-certified music therapist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, who has been named an Atlanta Business Chronicle Health Care Champion Award winner for Innovator of the Year in Pediatric Health!

At @childrensatl the rhythm of care isn’t just measured in heartbeats - it’s found in the music that helps children heal 🎶✨

Pryce’s work harnesses evidence-based music interventions to support children facing cancer, blood disorders, and long hospitalizations. From lowering cortisol and managing pain to restoring confidence through songwriting and drumming, her therapy activates the brain’s ability to heal, connect, and thrive.

As Pryce says, “Music bonds people. It brings people together.” In a hospital setting, that connection can be as powerful as any medicine.

This is exactly why COSF partners with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to fund Art & Music Therapy programs. We believe in nurturing the whole child - physically, emotionally, and spiritually - because every child deserves a moment of success, joy, and normalcy, even in the hardest moments.

Congratulations, Pryce! Your work is changing lives 🏆🎼 by @cosf_foundation
