After Horsetail Falls, we drove just around the mountains over to Wakheena Falls. A massive 242ft waterfall with a stone bridge and hiking trail all the way to the top. Jake tricked me into hiking all the way up, but in the end the view was worth it. - #wakheenafalls #fujifilmxt4 #sooc by @cosietymedia
On our trip out West we stopped at Horsetail Falls, Oregon. I dont have as much trivia knowledge for this one, but I do know it was beautiful. --- Shot on a #fujifilmxt4. Straight out of camera with film sims. #filmsimulation #horsetailfalls by @cosietymedia
Nearing the end of our trip, we stopped at Tubb's Hill in Cour d'Alene, a town in Idaho, with a lake of the same name, all named after the local indigenous people who have lived in the area forever. The hill was an incredible spot. Clouds forever and mountains in the distance... and a ferry lazily crawling along the lake. In a totally different way, the view here was as spectacular as any of the other national parks we visited along the way. All of these were shot on a #fujifilmxt4 with a Fujifilm 28mm 1.4, and posted here straight out of camera using film simulations. --- #sooc #fujifilm #filmsimulation by @cosietymedia
For part IV of The Great Migration, we stopped at the Pictograph Caves in Montana. These caves have been used by humans in North America for thousands of years for natural shelter. Excavation of the caves has revealed artifacts and paintings that range from 200 years old to 2,100~ years old. While we didn't shelter there, our brief stop here provided us with these views. Shot on a #fujifilm XT4, straight out of camera with film simulations. by @cosietymedia
The Great Migration pt. III. This stop was at the Berkeley Pit in Butte, Montana. Once one of the most profitable mines in all of North America, until 1982 when the pit flooded with highly acidic water. Local mining companies banded together to pump out and treat the water to prevent it from contaminating the local groundwater. What could have been a catastrophic problem turned into a lovely roadside attraction. --- #sooc #fujifilmphotography #filmsimulation by @cosietymedia
After our adventures in the Badlands, we rested up and headed out to our next destination... Devil's Tower. No amount of having watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind could have prepared me for just how... impressive it is irl. We made some more unexpected friends here too, but these ones were small and furry. All of these shots are straight out of camera (#sooc) using a Fujifilm #xt4 and custom film simulations. by @cosietymedia
I often get decision paralysis regarding when and what to post online. I share my work with those close to me and I usually call it a day... which is why this is my first post since 2024. I also get hung up on editing everything... which kind of defeats the uniqueness of the Fujifilm system's film simulations, which I love. Im on a road trip to the West though and I think a lot of this deserves to see the light of day outside my hard drive. Here are some highlights from day 1, Badlands National Park, South Dakota. I had the pleasure of running into @timviveirosphotography and @d0cena.fotos who *also* shoot Fujifilm. We ran into each other two separate times, so... it must have been fate. #badlandsnationalpark #fujifilmphotography by @cosietymedia
