Can we?
Our perception of bodies is largely shaped by images produced and circulated by men - by those who historically hold the most power within media, art history, and visual culture. These images have a major impact on what is considered desirable, visible, or worthy of representation, and whose bodies are framed as objects of aesthetic attention.

The painted and photographed bodies emerge from encounters through dating apps and private situations, where visibility, consent, and authorship are constantly renegotiated.

By positioning the male body as the object of the gaze, the work deliberately deviates from established visual hierarchies and questions who is allowed to look, who is allowed to desire, and whose bodies are traditionally aestheticized.

Photography and painting function here not merely as representational tools, but as relational processes - recording moments of exposure, hesitation, trust, and control. What becomes visible is not only the body itself, but the power structures embedded in how bodies are seen, framed, and valued. I will also be reading texts documenting the interaction on the 4th of February @studiost21

It‘s crazy how much can change within such a short amount of time.
I love it when my friends are naked. To me those are moments that feel so safe and full of trust and my friends are sooo beautiful omg.
