Mission complete!

Thank you all for taking part in Operation: Cosplay, our October Halloween meetup! It was a fun day down in DC getting to see familiar friends and make new ones, plus explore the National Portrait Gallery! A special shout-out to the Smithsonian and the wonderful staff for allowing us to meet and take photos throughout the museum. Hopefully we'll return again in the future!

Remember to collab and tag @cosmeetdmv / #cosmeetdmv in your posts and stories to be featured!

Operation: Cosplay, the key to maintaining peace in the DMV!

We've planned something very special for October at a new, unique location. This Halloween, get ready to don your best disguise and join us from 1 PM to 7 PM at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC for our next collaborative cosplay and photography meetup!

Because we do not have exclusive use of the space and this is a public museum, please be sure to abide by all rules listed on our sign up sheet and at the museum. Remember to dress appropriately and be respectful to all guests/staff. Check the sign up sheet for a list of restricted items.

Check the sign up sheet for parking and additional info. Metro is recommended, as the museum is above the Gallery Place - Chinatown stop on the Red Line. This is an indoor meetup, rain or shine. We'll be meeting in the Kogod Courtyard, which is in the center of the first floor, but you will be free to spread out during the day to permitted areas.

The Discord and meetup signups are available in the link in our bio!

Date: October 31, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM

What can we expect to see in Avengers: Doomsday? Dark Phoenix and Cyclops mixed would be wild for sure!

Always wanted to do this cosplay, never had the chance until attending @thecosplaystudioexperience .

Some awesome shots I took with @erikwphotography ! This was my first time doing any shots with LED lights around my costume so I’m really happy how well the light illuminated the details!

Quest Added: ONE FOR MY BABY

This is my first photoshoots without a helmet! I love Boone from FNV when he jump scares me a shot from across the map. Special thanks to @kjb.media for helping me out with the posing and framing that really bring these shots to life
