my little sister kallie graduated from college!! a bachelor of science in aeronautical management technology with a focus in air transportation management!!! so COOL!!! it was such a fun week of exploring and celebrating her. we grew up singing taylor swift, playing uno and barbies and now she is going to continue onto flight school. being the oldest sister of her and our other sisters is one of the biggest honors of my life and i am endlessly inspired and proud of her and all of her achievements. i can’t wait to one day be on a flight that my sister is the captain of 🥹🛫💫🌀💓

it’s now been 5 years of living in montana as an adult!! i have done so much growing and healing here since i came home in 2020 at first begrudgingly and then started to make a vibrant life for myself in ‘21 in missoula and am just so beyond grateful to live in one of the most soulful, beautiful, and big skied places where kind and creative hearts gather and live. there’s some magic out here in montana and it’s so special to be apart of it all!! happy 406 day to those who celebrate :) 🏔️🦋🍯🧿🌼🪻🪽🌌🍒🏄🏻‍♀️🎨🛹🎫🥾🌙🌀🌾🐞⛷️

i recently watched the movie “i saw the tv glow” and it had such an emotional impact on me that ima post about it. in particular what struck me really intensely about it, was how it reminded me of how living in your truth or not really comes down to whether or not you care or not to let other people’s opinions and expectations dictate your reality. when the message of “there is still time” appeared in this movie it made me SOB. THERE IS STILL TIME!!! as long as i am alive there is still time to change. every day is a new day and i forget that sometimes because i get so caught up in living it but making changes doesn’t have to always hurt. it does often in the beginning or feel muddy but it’s so worth it. living an authentic and regulated life is incredibly worth it. after years of shedding layers of who i thought i had to be to be loved i now have wonderful support system of people who make me feel seen, heard and appreciate me for who i have been, am now and will be. the love i dreamt of having for years is so present in my every single day and i feel so unbelievably lucky to still be alive. also side note i was OBSESSED with this song at 17 and now it is special to me in a whole new way🥹!! i just having been feeling so sappy and thankful for my community and people in my life lately being there for me in all of my multitudes and letting me be there for them too. so here’s some lovely moments as of late!! cheers to how there is still time!!🥂💌🕯️🏳️‍⚧️🧿🦋📺🌱⚰️💘🩻 🌈🍓

pictures are worth a thousand words and here are some photos that i never posted from june of 2022. it truly was a life changing trip to be able to connect with my heritage by visiting greece and i left a different person with so much perspective on my ancestors. my mom’s side of the family is very greek (my grandparents had a very americanized greek name from when they immigrated to Ellis island, that’s too personal to my heart for me to even type out online but if you ask me irl i will proudly tell you), i have a Greek name- kassandra and i grew up being obsessed and hearing the stories of mythology for bedtime and stargazing the constellations with family so to go was truly special. seeing the landscapes of trading villages my ancestors would have seen and visited, eating traditional cuisine that reminded me of my childhood that my mom would make, and seeing all the ancient structures and the art was breathtaking and i think of it all the time. traveling gives you perspective that is challenging to put into words but it forces you to look at where you came from and how you got to the present (at least in my experience). i came back from this trip and worked on actively being a better version of myself with ending a relationship that i was wilting in, focusing on my health physically and mentally, and i did the work of cutting out what wasn’t beneficial for me and i feel all the more connected to my body and mind spiritually. it led me to understanding the experience of knowing that my body type and quirks didn’t come from just me but generations of women before me. the things i had hated about myself for years were the traits that my family members before me had possessed to survive into another generation. my dimples, button nose, funny toes, big laugh, body type and more i found ran in my family and many others. overall i am so very grateful for my greek heritage and to know there’s a world out there that’s beautiful and waiting if one is simply brave enough to be open hearted enough to go explore it 🇬🇷🌺🌊🫒🧆🏛️
