I've been wanting to try a proper chrome finish on the Proxima for a while, and I finally decided to make it happen.

It turned out to be quite a bit more complicated than I expected. Getting a large visor this shiny involves a lot of work, and the chrome finish isn't quite as optically clear as the regular visor.

So this isn't something I'm planning to add to the shop as a regular product. It's a small, limited run that I'm making as a bit of an experiment.

I've already got a few orders in, but there are still some spots available.

My buddy @starchildprops did an incredible job with this commission 🔥

A client asked for a fully painted Red Ronin helmet, and we were ready to answer. We wanted to test some nice candy red on one of our Ronin cosplay helmets, and all the sanding and accurate paint layering definitely pays off. Starchild is a master of his craft 🎯

The base helmet is 3D printed on Prusa MK3S machines with PLA, with LED eyes function, and swappable Oakley mirror lenses for a more realistic look. Check it out on the Cosplus' Etsy store!

This project started with a character concept and evolved into a complete wearable design: from the helmet and integrated Pioneer DJ headphones to the removable magnetic faceplate, costume details and animation blueprints.

The goal was to make every element feel functional, wearable and believable, while still pushing the character into a futuristic world and keeping the performer comfortable.

A project developed for Fux & Hase, a German DJ duo with a very recognizable visual identity: a fox and a hare.

They came to us with their original rubber masks and a set of visual references, and the goal was to turn that identity into two helmets designed specifically for live performance.

We started with photogrammetry scans of both performers, cleaned and rebuilt the scans into ergonomic head models, and used physical test shells to validate the fit before moving on to the final geometry.

From there, the helmets were engineered around the actual requirements of a stage environment: integrated motorcycle visors, airflow and anti-fog ventilation, removable ears, and a magnetic opening and muzzle system.

The two helmets share the same underlying architecture, but their proportions and volumes were developed separately to give the fox and hare their own character while keeping them clearly part of the same pair.
