Sometimes at estate sales, the treasure you find isn’t silver or gold. It’s something priceless.

I found a 1948 copy of Salvador Dalí’s 50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship at the estate sale of a local Cape Cod artist. Tucked inside was an original photograph of Dalí, taped into the book.

Always look inside every book. And every pocket. #capecod #art #artist #salvatordali #artwork taken in Cottage.CapeCod by @cottage.capecod

Back by popular demand, Salomé Giafoglione Leontie returns to the gallery for the next installment of our Talk Series @ the Gallery. Salomé — cottage owner, plant whisperer, and enthusiastic believer that we can all do better by our houseplants — will share practical advice, fresh inspiration, and plenty of encouragement for creating an indoor garden that thrives.

Join us Thursday, October 1 at 5pm at David Hills Gallery in Orleans. We’ll have special mocktails, nibbles, art on the walls, and a very good excuse to talk plants for an evening.

57 Route 6A, Orleans
Come curious — and feel free to bring your houseplant questions.

An August evening that reminded me exactly why I live here. Photographing Heather Snell’s incredible hand-foraged jewelry at Nauset Beach, with the light fading over the dunes and the ocean in the background, was the exact combination of rest and productivity I needed. taken in Cottage.CapeCod by @cottage.capecod
