“What thread do you use for your quilts?”

There’s something special about hand quilting. Hand stitching adds texture, contrast, and rhythm. You can guide the eye, create patterns, or highlight shapes just through thread.

Yes there will always be slight inconsistencies but those only add to the character of the quilt giving it a more organic, lived-in feel.

I don’t share my thread or fabric sources, not because I want to keep anything from you, but because the best part of quilting is discovering what you love!

The thread you choose, the look you’re going for, all of that is personal. What works best for me might not feel the same for you.

So experiment! Try different threads and lean into the trial and error. That’s where your style starts to show up, and that’s what makes your work truly yours! by @cottle_collected
