I don't do photo dumps so much anymore, but cash me outside I'm feeling sentimental. 36 was a really special year and I have so much joy moving into 37. I've been a witness to big love for some of my closest friends, my friendships continue to grow and deepen, I adopted Calvin who quickly stole my heart, and I'm learning just how expansive love can be. Who knew all the sappy shit people say would be true. All I can say is be your youest self, and maybe it does all shake out... by @couillard_e_m

The garden brings wisdom every year. To go big. That I am small. That abundance is all around me. That I can put something as small and dry as a seed in the ground and get juicy, sustaining, bright food with just love and care and water. (And compost which I meticulously save and turn to dirt). The soil teaches me that I'm home, that I'll never abandon her, and that such good things come to those who wait.

The Badlands. One of the many parks I've had the pleasure of doing field research in. Science is the systematic study of the natural world through observation, experimentation, and evidence. And it is critical to our survival. Please please please submit a comment to save scientific integrity in the US before midnight tonight. Here are prompts for you:

1. Share a story about how science or federal funding has benefitted you or is involved in your work. Are you or someone you loved a cancer survivor? Do you know someone with Alzheimer’s? Have you received NIH/NSF or other federal funding? All of these can be stories you use to highlight why you care.
2. Explain why you’re worried about these proposed changes. You can use the wording found here or in other resources to help you.
3. Ask them to withdraw this proposed rule by @couillard_e_m

Banff, Alberta. I had heard the stories. When I lived in Canada EVERYONE told me to go. I finally got there March 2026, weather shortened my trip but I would do it all over again. And I plan to. It was beyond enthralling.
