Wow y’all! I just want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who took home a jar, enjoyed a noodle bowl, or just came by to nerd out about fermented foods with me. This season @brattleborofarmersmarket was one for the record books. I feel buoyed by my farmers market community, customers, friends, farmers and fellow vendors alike. I am grateful for every single one of you who support me in making myself a job. The next few weeks I will be catching up, tending to myself and my loved ones, and gearing up for @brattwintermarket . You will see me there 11/21 ✨🧑🏽‍🩰✨ In the meantime you can find ferments @rebopfarmvt @milkweedfarmvt @wildcarrotfarm And if any of you have a little local farm stand that remains open in the winter and you want to see our stuff there lmk, and I’ll see what I can do. Scorpion Kkakdugi is back babyyyyyyy 🔥🦂🔥 Just in time for the impending cold ❄️ I like to bring this one around this time of year to help us stoke our inner fire ❤️‍🔥 This babe is making her seasonal debut at my LAST @brattleborofarmersmarket of the season this Saturday 10/24. And then will be available @brattwintermarket so long as I can get my hands on daikon (which shouldn’t be too hard in these here parts 😉) Come by for your (maybe) last noodle bowl of the season before congee comes in hot 🍲 *(considering keeping multiple options of prepared food available through the winter, please let me know if you want me to continue with the noods and we will see what happens) 🧑🏽‍🩰 by @countercultureskitchen

10/3 SHE ATE is coming to VERMONT! It’s the northeast’s favorite farm drag show, and will be @milkweedfarmvt for one night only !!

Come OUT to the farm 6-10 PM on 10/3 for to wander the enchanting gardens and enjoy some incredible music, drag, art, and connection, and to touch some mfing grass.

Come early for an enchanting folk set from @girlloveband , and stay for the drag show featuring @theforrestfleur and New England drag/burlesque TALENTS including @arabella_thegoddess , @artdeco_is_back , @mis.andrie , @sunshine.angel69 , @them_brulee_ , @baby.phart ,@mereismother , and @avamjbeachley who all are certain to EAT UP the stage.

what’s more? all profits from this event will benefit @weareoutintheopen and their incredible projects centering rural queer community and queering the outdoors ! so not only are you in for an incredible autumnal evening, but can also help support a fantastic cause and local, queer justice effort !

Picked up these new-to-me Nuremberg bratwursts at @pekarskissausage, they have a narrower casing and more marjoram than regular brats the guy told me. They cooked up plump after a quick poach in water (usually I poach sausages in beer or wine, but the first time with these I wanted to taste them clean) and then I finished them with a light browning in butter. The herbs came through with a wonderful complex flavor! I made sourdough discard new england style buns, then topped with Raye’s Wintergarden mustard, and then the AMAZING, incomparable, @countercultureskitchen Dill Pickle Kraut. Grace is a magical fairy of fermentation, and everything she makes is divine! A marvelous Monday night dinner. by @countercultureskitchen

This babe is composed of glass noodles, roasted eggplant, seared cauliflower, and fresh sweet corn, tossed in a spicy, sour, sweet, umami dressing and a sprinkle of toasted rice and roasted chili powder. Shes gussied up with crispy red curry tofu crumble, tamari pickled mushroom, fermented lime leaf radish, and garden herbs. So many words! Worth being verbose.
