From the teacher: These students were working on soldering a headphone jack into the electronics learning lab station. We were trying to mod it (by adding a headphone jack) so that it would be less disruptive and trying to learn about circuits and how a soldering iron works, etc. in the process.

The start of something new. Students in this photo are getting seeds ready to grow, learning what it takes to care for something long before the first sprout appears.

From a parent: I have so many beautiful scrolls of paper that my child has painted on at school.
It’s a surprise every time, some days it looks like the colors of a sunset, others more subdued, sometimes I see faces or different scenes. I am always in awe that my child is in an educational space that she can express herself through art. What a blessing to see. by @counterpaneschool

That proud moment when you finish your work and can’t wait to show it off. We love seeing our students take pride in their work and celebrate their own accomplishments. by @counterpaneschool

From the teacher: Students trying to power an LED using a drill to spin a magnet really fast between two copper coils. They're trying to simulate an AC generator (specifically, an alternator).

Learning to care for our space, one task at a time.

Folding and sorting are simple everyday activities that help children practice concentration and independence.

What’s happening over here? Lots of pencil shavings, little notes, big ideas, and very serious concentration.
