Athena Bear 🐻🪽🐾 10.11.20 - 07.15.2026

Around 6:30pm today we had to say our final goodbye to my baby athena bear.

Since the day I laid my eyes on my baby bear I knew she was everything my heart needed and then some. I have never been so in love with anyone or anything in my entire life. My whole world revolved around being the best mom I could possibly be for you. My heart sang songs for you. My love knew no bounds because all I ever cared about was seeing you happy, healthy, and loved unconditionally.

Every trip, every experience, every kiss, every cuddle, every bite, every laugh, every car ride with the wind in your whiskers, every starbucks date, every holiday, every birthday, every gotcha day - every single second I spent with you was another reason I loved you more. I will hold every single moment so close to me so that maybe one day I am lucky enough to remember them and smile instead of cry.

I hope that heaven treats you with kindness, grace, and a type of peace that this world could not give you. May the absence of love never be felt for I will still love you with every ounce of my being down here until my last breath. You gave me the best 5 1/2 years a broken girl could ever ask for. My baby. I have no words other than I am heartbroken beyond measure. I love you and I will miss you until the day that I die. by @countingworms

My love. My Athena Bear. My baby girl. My big belly bear. 🐻🤍
Happy national rainbow bridge day 🌈 Today I honor you. I celebrate you. I remember you. I feel you close by. But more importantly than anything… I keep you close to me and I continue to love you.

It has been a little over a month since we shared our final kiss with you, and let me tell you it has been a pretty sad time here without you. But we are so blessed to still find you in all the ways you appear: pink dragonfly’s (i’ve never seen that before), music, black & yellow butterfly’s, and everything pretty and pink.

Every morning I am given a reason to miss you and wish I could hold you close to me. I hope you feel the kisses to your urn every morning, I hope you hear me when I cry and talk to you. I hope you can feel me when I take you out to hold you close to my chest because I need to feel you close to me however I can. I hope you see how excited we get to see the signs you send us, and how much we keep you here with us.
