Something a little different this past weekend. Took Greg Ellifritz Defensive Knife Skills class. Greg really is one of the perfect instructors to go to when you are a beginner just starting to learn a skill. He does a great job teaching the basics that you can easily remember and use right away without a lot of additional training or practice.

First pic is the first 15 rounds this past weekend. Wasn't pushing speed by any means but not super slow either. Second pic is the last 10 rounds of the day. These were very slow and very deliberately, mostly just to prove to myself that I could.

I had the opportunity to take @cougar_mountain_solutions West Cost Shootgun this past weekend. I have had several people I trust recommend Erick. If you want to know and understand the "Why" behind what you are learning then you need to train with Erick. Also, because of his past experiences he is able to touch on real life events and relate them back to why and how you can/should view defensive situations.

Erick did a wonderful job of covering a wide variety of techniques and processes while still giving the small details needed to truely be able to preform them well. By the end of the class you will have a well rounded view of the platform as a whole. Erick not only taught the usual topics he went over, things not generally discussed, like proper unloading techniques and shooting and reloading one handed.

If you ever have a chance to train with Erick, do it. Be it shotgun, low light, pistol or any other course that he teaches. He makes the class fun and will give you more information then you expected when you ask a question. I certainly hope I have the chance to train with him again no matter what he is teaching.

To the other students in the class, thank you for helping make the class as fun as it was. Thank you to @suenamibestdaytraining training for hosting and bring top tier instructors into the area.
