Branding Season over the years working on the Quarter Circle XL and neighboring with several ranches. Just a sampling of 20 years of photos. The work became the focus with photos as an added plus when I could grab a snap. So many top hands to work alongside of. Thanks to Lyle O’Bryan for opening the door for me to gallop through. I Learned so much from him, Baxter, Chris, Diana, and everyone I rode alongside of for thousands of miles over the years.

So happy to see four new baby bighorns in Badlands National Park. The population of the herd is down severely, due to illness, with only 20 some adults remaining. Please be respectful of the Bighorns and don’t approach them on foot to get your ridiculous selfie or hover on foot for hours. Let them graze. It’s a great opportunity to do the right thing and let them be. I hope they survive and thrive and the herd starts to grow again. The beauty of the Badlands of South Dakota. Sigh. by @countrypolitan
