Welcome to… Bonito 🩵

This part of Brazil opened our eyes to the beauty of this country… on a whole other level 🤯

We spent 5 days in Bonito experiencing some of the BEST things you can see and do in the area. We opted to stay in Bonito town and chose @hotelpaguas which was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our time here.

We got a breakfast buffet every morning, and the location was perfect for finding some amazing local food within walking distance 😋

If Bonito wasn’t on your Brazil itinerary, it should be now 😍✨🫶🏼

It really does have it all 🤿🩵

@riodapratarecantoecologico isn’t just beautiful to look at (swipe and find out) but it’s also incredible to swim here 🥹

Full of so many species of fish, and sometimes you might see caimans or anacondas 👀 thankfully, just fishies for us! 🐠

Welcome to…

@buracodasararas AKA the largest sandstone sinkhole in South America 🤯

Home to the famous red and green macaws 🦜 along with SO much more bird life!

It’s a super short tour but one worth adding to your Bonito itinerary 🗺️ the landscape is super impressive and you’ll find yourself trying to identify some of the birds flying around 🦅

Visiting places like this make us realise how much untouched beauty there is in this world 🥹

We spent the morning at @grutadolagoazulms and 🤯
Fossils and bones have been found here that are thousands of years old! Swimming or entering the water is completely off limits to protect the fragile ecosystem, so admiring the beauty here was more than enough (especially when it looks like this 💙)

We arrived around 9am which was the perfect time to start seeing the sunlight come through and light up the cave & water

We made it to… The Pantanal 🐆

This is the LARGEST tropical wetland on Earth 🌎 🤯

We visited via @faz.san.francisco.pantanal and it did not disappoint!! Pantanal is also very well known to see wild Jaguars, and although we had our fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏼 we weren’t so fortunate, BUT we did only have 1 day here so we recommend booking a few nights to explore more of this amazing part of Brazil 😍

We started the day on a jeep safari spotting dear, emu’s, capybaras, caimans and so much bird life!!

In the afternoon we took a boat and went piranha fishing 🎣 which was so much fun!

If you want to visit the Pantanal and book in, we recommend booking months in advance as @faz.san.francisco.pantanal was fully booked until October!! (We visited in August). Fortunately @bonitoway managed to book us in for a day trip so we wouldn’t miss out 📸

Did you know about the Pantanal? We’d love to visit for longer next time because it was BEAUTIFUL 🫶🏼

It’s called Bonito for a reason 😍

Bonito = Beautiful
& that’s what you’ll find 🥹

Beautiful landscapes, beautiful people, beautiful food, beautiful wildlife 🥹

We spent 5 days staying at @hotelpaguas as the PERFECT base for our Bonito adventures! Not only was it the gateway to so many incredible activities and experiences, the city itself is full of so many great restaurants just a short walk away.

I don’t think we’ll ever get over this trip 🥹

The perfect Brazil trip exists here… 🥹

We arrived in Bonito expecting beautiful nature, amazing wildlife and jaw-dropping landscapes, but we got SO much more than that!

The people, the food, the activities, the city itself.. we cannot thank @bonitoway enough for the incredible trip they planned!

Bonito and the surrounding activities was a little confusing and overwhelming to book, you have to reserve time slots for most activities as a lot of tours only allow a certain number of visitors per day, and thankfully @bonitoway took ALL the stress away 🩵

From picking us up at the airport, checking into our hotel, organising the transport between tours, as well as booking activities for us made this trip one to remember 🥹

We’re ready to go back now pls 🙏🏼
