Primarily in my head
Sprawled out on my bed
Absorbed in the question
Which came first the chicken or the egg
Suddenly hit me like a ton of lead
How exactly did it start and
When exactly will it end
Am I real or
Am I pretend
Perhaps I actually am condemned
Now’s the time to emerge and
Amend
Took a risk
Hummed and hemmed
Made a pledge
My friend
I have you pegged
Don’t make me beg
Open your heart
Extend a hand to lend
I’m on the mend
Climbing the ladder
Peg legged
To ascend
Mortal man
With my pride to defend
Against all odds
I Transcend

Was hurt / mad and instead of attacking w hurtful harmful words I painted this and wrote this poem🐥

Handle
Before my eggs start to
Scramble
Straight to the point without
Preamble
Watching my tongue
Lest it ramble
Don’t take me literally
I’m only a fable
Prefer a fact
All my cards are on the
Table
And I’m still stable
I’m one of a kind
Impossible to label
Prefer to stay humble
Rough and tumble
Not looking to fight
Though I’m down to rumble
Either way
Even if I fumble
I won’t crumble
Playing it safe
No
Taking a gamble
I know I’m able
But am I ample

It’s unending
This pretending
At once
Heartwarming and
Heartrending
Flapping my wings
Magically ascending
Then
Suddenly descending
Spiraling and
Surrendering
No use competing
Everything’s fleeting
Exhausted from comparing
Tired of explaining
Intricacies are mind bending
Begging for deeper comprehending
The messages I’m sending
Decoding their meaning
Revealing what I’m concealing
Freewheeling is quite appealing
All outcomes are welcome
However this particular one’s pending
Awakening to the
Dawn of a new beginning
I’m not necessarily losing
But I’m not actually winning
Mainly cringing
Success has me grinning
Despite the underpinnings
Out of control
We’re collectively spinning
Personally I’m busy
Repenting on my sinning
Spicking and spanning
This persona I’m presenting
Needs vigorous reinventing
Unrelentingly lamenting
Getting my bearings
Then
Reorienting
Constricting then expanding
Imploding and impending
Facing the final ending
Ultimately intending
Foreseeing
To just enjoy

Been up and down the block
My head’s in knots
Got a blood clot
Pretending to be someone I’m not
Then I remembered
I forgot
The plot
To turn back the clock
It’s widely known
I didn’t deserve what I got
But look what I brought
A bean in a pot
This can’t be my lot
To be a dot
Stuck in one spot
This is my last shot
So at least I thought
To find what I sought
In a rut I got caught
My hearts in a knot
Overwrought by
The battles I fought
The lessons you taught
Were fraudulent and fraught
For my own sake
Did a double take
Thought I was someone
But was really
