TURF SEASON. ✅🏐

After a successful three day tournament in Chicago for the Windy City Round Up, we are back preparing for @aauvolleyball Nationals in 2-3 weeks time. ✈️

Today’s group featured a light serve pass, followed by mostly defensive drills of blocking and playing defense.

Defense wins you long rallies and wins you matches. Buying into playing it has to be a culture thing and all members of the team must be bought into the same common goal. 🧠✅

SATURDAY SAND TRAINING.✅

Part of Court-IQ’s mission statement is to train volleyball players on multi-surfaces year round. ✅

The top teams in the country reside in California year after year. Their weather gives them the advantage to train on sand & grass year round. ☀️

Sand-Training develops better indoor players. Sand weighs players down, making defensive movements and reads harder.

1-HANDED BLOCKING. ❌👋

Do unnatural blocking movements confuse attackers on other side? Is it similar to dropping hands last minute against an attack? 🤔
