The Bloch Dance Store in the South End is OPEN and perfect for a Mother/Daughter shopping trip! The best kind of fun with your forever bestie! 👯‍♀️ No one matches my energy (or helps me pick the best BLOCH gear) like my momma 🩰✨ We had the best day and can’t wait for more to come! by @courtnitting
It’s Opening Night of season 26-27 and sadly I will not be having my return to the stage just yet. I’ve been patiently waiting to get back out there but it just wasn’t the time yet. This decision came as a collective one for the protection of my knee. This entire rep is done in knee pads, and extremely physical in ways that classical dancers are not necessarily accustomed too; especially when returning from a major injury. High reward but also high risk. So…in the hopes of a safer and stronger return, I will be sitting this one out. But don’t you worry, my time is COMING SOON!!! #comingsoon #bostonballet #patientlywaiting by @courtnitting
Lots of alone time in the studio lately = many mini dance parties in between variations 🥳 #bostonballet #ballerina #studio #working by @courtnitting
It’s been 262 days since I last stepped into the daily routine. From morning class, to going over choreography, prepping meals, hours of standing, hours of dancing…etc. This first week back was hard, but SO FULFILLING! Here we go season 26-27! #recovered #ballerina #newstart by @courtnitting
Can you even believe @courtnitting ?! Nine months of rehab and she is back and ready for the 2026/2027 season @bostonballet !!! What a trip to see a sliver of this determined, dedicated, and inspirational dancer! Can’t wait to see more. 😍 #studiosession #dancephotographer #bostonballet by @courtnitting
The science behind an athlete is so much more than meets the eye. From the smallest muscle, and the most precise exercise, to the highest level of consistency and patience; this can make or break a dancer. Now, to rebuild that foundation from the beginning is a whole other story. And that’s what we call “the recovery process.” It’s an uncomfortable journey that requires you to narrow in focus on every aspect of yourself. The level of exhaustion both physically, and mentally is like no other. However, the joy and fulfillment that comes with every milestone by feeling stronger and healthier from inside and out… is a gift. It’s been a long nine months! It began with an unexpected beginning and a longer than anticipated finish. The only reason I have come this far is because of the team of support. That piece has been so critical. The people who will lift you up in moments of doubt, keep you calm in moments of fear, back you up when confusion strikes is crucial. All of these things combined culminate to create the science behind the athlete. I feel brand new in ways that without having this injury wouldn’t have come to be. Now season 26–27 …. I’m coming for you. 🫶 by @courtnitting
