Hi, I’m Courtney 🤍

There are some new faces here, so I thought it was time for a little reintroduction.

I’m Courtney Moultrie, FNP-C — a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner working in both medical and cosmetic dermatology here in California’s Central Valley.

But my path to dermatology wasn’t exactly a straight line.

I was born in the Central Valley, moved away for a period of time, and eventually found my way back home to attend Fresno State, where I competed as a Division I track & field athlete. After undergrad, I pursued nursing and went on to earn my master’s degree and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Before landing my first job as an NP, I spent 6 years at the bedside as an RN — first in the Pediatric ICU at Valley Children’s Hospital and later in adult inpatient psychiatric care. Two very different areas of medicine, but both shaped the way I care for patients today.

When I became a Nurse Practitioner, I knew I wanted to build a career that combined medicine, patient education, and the opportunity to help people feel more confident in their skin. That eventually led me to dermatology, and in 2021 I joined Macias Dermatology, where I now practice medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Today, my work ranges from diagnosing and treating skin conditions to skincare education, skin cancer prevention, cosmetic treatments, and injectables. And this page has become an extension of that — a place where I can talk about skin without making it complicated.

Outside of the office, I’m a wife and mom of three. My family comes first and as much as I love what I do professionally, it will always come second to them. 🥰
