10th Anniversary IPA7% abv100% Galaxy hops.Happy Birthday to us! We opened 10 years ago to the day, Thursday, October 24th, 2014. Been thru a lot and made a lotta friends along the way. Hope you'll stop by for a beer this week and next and beyond..We have some cool collaboration beers coming over the next few months in celebration of the feat. I tried to get everything done for the actual anniversary but if there's any one thing I've learned over the past 10 years, it's okay if things don't get done right on time..Cheers to putting another year up on the shelf and thank you all for allowing us to do what we love. My dream is to feed burritos to the masses long after I am gone. To develop systems that will outlast me and even Joey. I want to wipe Chipotle off the map. I want the new generation of kids to not even know what Chipotle is, like Blockbuster. I understand Chipotle is a completely different concept but I don’t care. I’m coming for that ass @chipotle by @courtyardbrew

Bad news, it’s hotter than actual hell outside. Good news, that does not stop Scott from doing what he does best (besides beer) and that is bringing us treasures. Like a true pirate, he found this relic from the 1950s that still works. I was very excited as my mind shuffles through the endless syrups and flavor combinations we can make. We are running a soft opening for now until we can get our systems down but sno-balls will be available Friday-Saturday from 11-4 @courtyardbrew by @courtyardbrew

It was 95 degrees outside today but it actually felt like 2 or 3 hundred degrees. I think I’m actually sick from it but it’s ok because I am willing to suffer for your enjoyment. Here’s 77 portions of Carne Asada. Jokes aside, I am very grateful there are people willing to come and spend their hard earned money on our food. We strive to get a little better everyday, constantly tweaking and making micro-adjustments until it’s perfect. Thanks for helping us grow and following along with our journey. Every share, like, comment, review, helps a LOT 🫡 P.s. This is Flank Steak (11+ Lb right now) ok that’s a lot. So know a double steak burrito is going to cost. We don’t buy cheap bullshit like chiptole by @courtyardbrew

President Obama's White House Honey Ale6% abv Honey AleBrewed with local New Orleans Honey. In 2011 President @barackobama became the first sitting US President to brew beer on the White House grounds. I've been wanting to recreate one of Obama's recipes for a while and thought the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence from Britain would be a good excuse. Due to a FOIA request in late 2012 we have the recipes that Obama brewed, which are still posted online in Obama's Presidential archives..As for the beer itself, we loosely followed his recipe, deviating where needed in order to scale up to our system. Unfortunately we couldn't get any White House honey, so instead found an excellent apiary on the westbank of New Orleans in lower Algiers. The beer has a distinctly sweet honey and malt flavor. Neither cloying nor too bitter, the finish is balanced. According to President Obama, "I can tell from firsthand experience, it is tasty."
