Summer recap:

A summer full of grinding and work put in to truly become 1% better everyday.

Worked back up to my previous bench PR, and gained new numbers on Front squat (350), BB SS (355). Implemented new training styles for plyometrics to build my vertical and broad jump numbers. Ultimately, tried new things and fell in love with the process of them.

Bellevue East HS coaching internship with Loyalty training; got the opportunity to work with a great group of hardworking athletes who came in with the mentality to WANT to get better everyday. As a new coach, this was very encouraging and taught me many lessons and coaching styles I can build off of in the future.

God blessed me with an able body and a mind to keep pushing myself everyday. Glad I get to share a piece of my life with you all! by @couseperformance

Split Squat variations are great for all athletes due to the correlation to the positions that athletes put their bodies in while playing sports.

-Running
-Jumping
-Changing Direction
-Acceleration & Deceleration

Add these into your routine‼️‼️

Why should YOU Front Squat‼️‼️‼️

1. Decreases spinal loading as it is in the front rack position (on front of the shoulders) incorporating a more upright posture.

2. Emphasis on core strengthening. Your core is more involved with a front squat due to bar placement and core muscles having to work harder to keep a stable positioning of your torso through the movement. Also, big on this for teaching proper core bracing (belly button in & rib cage down).

3. Resembles common movement patterns for athletes: the knee over toe positioning is emphasized which has direct correlation to sprinting and jumping mechanics. As a collegiate athlete, I have noticed way more return on investment with this movement compared to any other!

First leg day of 2026⚡️

Slowly getting back to doing things with a barbell which is exciting to say the least…

More driven than ever to do all the things I told myself that I’m going to this year.

Finding ways to win post shoulder surgery:

Biking: dividing it up into “easy” days where mileage is the priority ~10+, and interval days where I focus in calories burnt rather than a certain time on/off.

Lower body lifting: with not being able to put weight on my shoulders and/or being able to hold weight with my right arm, leg press and belt squat have been a way where I can minimize strength loss over a brief period of time.

Upper body: single arm movements 1x a week so I can minimize size changes between both sides.

Outlook on it all: I’m blessed to have an able body and still be able to perform movements in moderation. While it’s definitely a let down to not hit upper body movements, I’ll be back to it eventually. The comeback is gonna have me more driven than ever.
