We were going to elope. Just us.

The day before our wedding, they surprised us at home, and our little elopement became the most beautiful, intimate wedding.

There were so many people from our village we missed having there. But there will be more gatherings, more love, more celebration, and more community.

And in the midst of it all, I got to start forever with the man I love.

Feeling very grateful.

It was an honor to be part of the Whickers Podcast Pitch at Sheffield DocFest and to be alongside such incredible finalists and storytellers. Thank you to the Whickers team, the judges, and everyone who listened so thoughtfully to The Riverbank (coming soon), a story that is very close to my heart. Receiving a development award for the project means so much to me and the project.

So many powerful stories. So many talented people. I’m honored to be in community with all of you. 🥂

I’m also grateful to have spent this season in so many meaningful creative spaces, from the first film festival at CCWF, California’s largest women’s prison, to the Kodak Awards with the wonderful Autumn Durald Arkapaw. by @cousinshy

My Shonda Rhimes era of saying YES to everything is coming to an end. I enjoyed it all. Sailing was cut short. Found the camcorder my little brother gave me years ago. That was fun. BACK to my dungeon to work on my many PROJECT’S to stay out the PROJECT’S as Mistah Marcus King would say. by @cousinshy
