@ibjjf American Nationals 2026🥇: 3 fights, 2 subs and 1 win via points to reach the top. Worked hard alongside his professors and teammates for this one but absolutely all the glory given to God. Zeke designed his own gi and I’m so glad we got to debut it today. So freaking proud of this kid for never giving up and fighting hard. Thank you @marcosgomesjj for being there for him today and every day. Watching you pour into him as equally as we do is truly a parent’s joy. Thank you @zachkaina for always believing in him and never giving up on supporting his dreams. I’ve said it a thousand times but @aojmissionviejo’s heart for these kids and their growth & success is unmatched. @mendesbros - thank you for fostering the best classes, environment, and role models for our kids. IBJJF Nashville Kids 2026 🥇 2 matches, 2 submissions both within 30 seconds or less (!!) and no points scored on me. Got to meet up & support my teammate Cruz in his success also 👏🏼 Had a blast, got to spend time with some family friends and enjoy Tennessee for the weekend. Got his golden E for Ezekiel, along with the reward of witnessing all his hard work continue to come to fruition. The support from his teammates and professors and everyone around is always the real win though. DREAM - “R” in the books ✅🥇 First time fighting in the 10yr old division and you could definitely see the level rise with age. Even after getting sick days before the gi match and unwillingly dropping 5lbs, Zeke still went out there, fought hard and even wanted to give up at one point but pushed thru and locked in the gold medal. As a parent we’re always proud of our kids when they push thru hard moments but nothing compares to seeing them proud of themselves. He was feeling better and was determined to smash it Sunday in nogi and he did it! 2 matches, 2 subs and a whole bunch of fun all day long. Grateful to God for keeping his body healthy and strong enough this weekend and blessed to be surrounded by the best team ever who helped make it all successful. @artofjiujitsu @mendesbros @dreambjj by @coxcrewjiujitsu

Halloween @dreambjj might just be one of their new favorite competitions of the year. Zeke took home both silver & gold, switching off wins with another competitor in his division and little Olivia took home silver in her first ever NOGI competition, after only training for like, a week! I’m so proud of her and both of them for always getting out there, giving it their best and having a blast with it all. They ain’t afraid of no choke! Til next year… by @coxcrewjiujitsu

This kid inspires me daily and continues to show us that while growth definitely comes in the uncomfortable (loss, uncertainty, doubt, etc), it also absolutely comes with dedication, consistency, trial & error, Q&A, and everything else he’s been putting into it. Hours at the academy in multiple classes and private lessons to hone in on what needs improvement and what he can sharpen, asking and answering questions to learn more, adding some nights of wrestling to his game, watching his professors classes and seminars at home on tv after a day full of training… I’m sure all parents say this but no one deserves it like these AOJ kids. It’s amazing to watch them willingly pour themselves so deep into something they love. BJJ has been so healing for him over the last year- for his body & mind and we are so blessed to have gotten into it and now at the best school truly driven by God and each other. We are so proud of you, Zeke- for all you’ve done and all you have yet to do 🩶 by @coxcrewjiujitsu
