Introducing Cozell (@bycozell), our Q2 2026 artist in residence at our Drew Gallery @ 2100 L Street NW in the West End of Downtown w/ an exhibit entitled “Hiding in Plain Sight” on display Monday, June 15th until August 14th, 2026. VIP Opening Reception: Saturday, June 27th12pm - 4pmGallery Hours: Monday thru Friday 10am - 6pm“Hiding in Plain Sight” is an exhibition centered around the idea that there is always another layer beneath the surface. Through paintings, hidden messages, UV-reactive details, and interactive experiences, Cozell’s work invites viewers to slow down and look closer.Blending physical artwork with immersive and virtual elements, the exhibition expands beyond the canvas and encourages viewers to become part of the experience itself. In the world of Rejex, nothing is ever just one thing. There is always another layer hiding in plain sight.Cozell is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative director whose work blends bold color, surreal storytelling, and layered meaning through the world of Rejex, a surreal universe inspired by individuality, perspective, and seeing the world differently.Entirely self-taught, Cozell’s work explores themes of identity, perception, curiosity, and self expression through paintings, collectibles, and immersive experiences. Rejex was created from the idea of choosing individuality over fitting in, representing creative freedom, self definition, and living life on your own terms.
