In an effort to finally fully transition into fall and put summer to bed, I figured I should probably share my finished summer quadrant of Nature’s Journey by Sprouting Lupine. It took me a little past the fall equinox to get this section finished, but I’m so in love with it. I did follow @nightshadeneedleworker ‘s rechart of the bird into a blue jay since those are so prevalent here. Quite pleased with how he looks! I am stitching this on 40ct Into the Vale with the called for DMC #sproutinglupine #naturesjourneysal by @cozyegg

Kitting up my October start for the #waybackstashsal - this is Ezmerelda’s House by Brightneedle. It’s been in my stash forever and needs to be started. I’ve converted the Anchor threads to DMC but otherwise using the called for threads on 40ct linen. I’ve been back and forth on linen all day but have finally settled on this one. A perfect start for #dark13stitching by @cozyegg

On Friday, October 30th, @eclecticpossessions and I will once again be hosting a small, intimate virtual gathering to indulge in dark stitching, friendship, and perhaps entertain with spirits. Signups will open tomorrow, October 13th at 13:13 US Central Daylight Time. To sign up go to darkoctoberseance.com and click on the Join the Seance button at the bottom. The time has come finally to kick off my #waybackstashsal where every month I’m going to choose a design that has been in my stash forever that I still love every time I see it and wonder why I’ve never stitched it. For September I chose Our House by The Goode Huswife. It’s fall with a stone house and two black cats - what could be more perfect? It calls for DMC and I’ve pulled a warm neutral 40ct fabric to use. I’m starting this one tonight and already working on kitting up next month’s choice. If you have something that’s been sitting untouched for years in your stash - now is the time to get going on it! Late summer always feels like a turning point - especially as my birthday shifts my attention toward the coming fall.

A new Flosstube is now up on my channel. In this chapter of my seasonal creative journal, I’m sharing my birthday start, a few fully finished pieces, and an honest look at my summer WIP-hopping as I begin narrowing my focus again.
