Where my gaming lore started 🤭

These are some of the games that shaped me into the gamer I am today.

I am incredibly grateful to have been into gaming from a young age, rather than falling into the “video games are for boys” BS that would go around (and low-key still does? Like what?!?) I got treated as weird, but like they weren’t wrong? I am a little weird and I’m tired of that being a bad thing 🤪

My favorite part of being on this healing journey with myself has been revisiting what I used to love as a child and reminding myself of who I am at my core

I will always be the nerdy and a little awkward girl and I have come to love that 🫶🏻

I think a lot of the time we can glamorize the healing process and forget that it is really a lot of work and a very emotional roller coaster, so if you are on a healing journey yourself and you are wondering why it doesn’t look like all these highlight REELS, just know that you are only seeing one side of the process (mostly because the other side is not very pretty lol). You got this!

I don’t know if this is a popular opinion, but I feel like Howls Moving Castle is a watch in the Fall type of movie 🧡

There’s just something about it that screams slow down and be cozy for a sec that I categorize with Fall.

Also! wouldn’t it be so cool to play a game that has a similar vibe? I think there are a few Ghibli inspired games out there, but I have not had the chance to play any of them yet! I think a few I’d like to check out are the Ni No Kuni games and The Witches Bakery ✨

It was such a busy, but a great month overall!

At what point should I be alarmed by my hobbies of choice? 😂

For real though, I am a sucker for a mystery!

I’ve recently picked up The Seven And A Half Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle and it’s interesting so far… not really sure what’s going on quite yet but I am only a few chapters in rn

I also picked up Murdoku as a little early birthday gift to myself and I’m loving it!!

Speaking of my birthday… I have a birthday stream coming up next week that I’d love to invite you to 🤭It will be on Wednesday, September 30th at 4pm EST, I am planning to do some community games, crafts, and anything else we feel like!

The best part of my healing journey has been returning to my roots of being a nerd (and proud of it this time) 😌

It’s not only from collecting trinkets or playing games, but from allowing myself to light up when talking about my hobbies, geeking out about lore in a story, or styling myself a certain way that allows me to express my interests, etc.

It’s been a great tool to help me unmask in public and I am grateful for it 🫶🏻
