Happy 40th Birthday, CPA!

On this day, September 3, 1985, CPA came to life! Today, we turned 40 and celebrated on the Quad with the entire student body, staff, and founding board members. The joy of being part of something bigger than ourselves and watching God’s faithfulness continue to unfold at 2323 Old Hickory Boulevard is unmatched. by @cpalions

A sandwich, a circle of peers, and a mic. Brown Bag Live returned this fall, brought back by band director Max Fulwider to give students a relaxed space to share creative gifts over lunch. Third Grade comes with a few well-earned milestones – and learning cursive is right at the top of the list. These third graders are discovering the rhythm of continuous loops and the simple secret of keeping pencil to paper. by @cpalions

Sixth graders started a new science unit this week by dropping Mentos into Diet Coke. That’s the control. Over the next few weeks the class will test 31 different candies against it, hunting for anything that erupts higher than Mentos. Rock salt and Mentos gum are early leaders, and the science room ceiling has the stains to prove it. by @cpalions

Author, speaker, and professor Dr. Colby Jubenville brought that challenge to upper school students in the TICE Business and Entrepreneurship program during his talk, “Get in the Game.”

His core message: Every successful pursuit begins by identifying a real-world problem, building the skills to solve it, and having the courage to iterate until you get it right. by @cpalions

College Week is a wrap. Thirty-nine college admissions representatives visited campus last week, meeting students face to face, answering questions, and helping them envision and plan for what comes next.

Events like this offer students a view beyond the brochure, giving them space to evaluate how different campuses align with their unique gifts and future goals. by @cpalions
