We love Before And After Pictures because they encourage us to keep doing what we have signed up for - caring for children on the extreme spectrum of cerebral palsy.

Meet Gloria in 2025 vs. Gloria in 2026.

Cerebral Palsy Center (CpCenter) ... improving the life of children living with cerebral palsy who have significant needs.

Thank you very much to all who support our work.

"Yesterday was Testimony-Girl's birthday! ❤️❤️❤️

And for more than eight of those twelve years, CpCenter has been a major part of your life.
Your existence is a testimony to the mystery of God, that the One who created the universe allows what He chooses to allow, even when we may not understand why.

You have silently taught us so many lessons, TestimonyGirl. Lessons about life, about love, about patience, about resilience and, above all, about the dignity of every human life.
You continue to remind us why the work we do here at Cerebral Palsy Center (CpCenter) matters. Why every child deserves care, attention, therapy, love and dignity. Why we must keep showing up, even on the days when the work feels overwhelming.

As you celebrate your 12th birthday today, we pray that the Lord will continue to give us the grace, strength and means to care for you. May He surround you with people who will love you, care for you and always see the beautiful child that you are.

And may your presence continue to be a reminder that every life matters, every child matters, and there is always a reason to keep doing the work.

Happy 12th birthday, TestimonyGirl. ❤️
Keep blessing us with your presence. You have no idea how many lessons you have taught us without saying a word. 😘
We love you." - @nonyecpcenter

Exactly 4 months ago, we took in this child, Isabella.

See what your support has helped Cerebral Palsy Center (CpCenter) to do.
We are deeply grateful 🙏
And we promise to keep doing what we say we’ll do - caring for these children with dignity, in a conducive environment.

Baba

He is back from the hospital 🏥
Thank you to all who sent support towards his medicals.
We assured the doctor that we'll continue his treatment here at Cerebral Palsy Center (CpCenter)

He is on 8 hourly IV antibiotics for a week after which we switch to oral. He knows the Center has the capacity to manage that.... saves us not just money but manpower... reason why we consciously hire staff who have experience with administering such meds.

Picture of Baba Fashola at 5.58 am. this morning, ready for his first meal and his first dose of his 8hrly antibiotics.

It's a good morning. taken in Lakowe, Lagos, Nigeria by @cpcenternigeria

Monday morning at CpCenter.
10th of August, 2026.
New week. We are here at work. 😊
After the backend work 😁… ᵐᵒˢᵗ ᵒᶠ ʷʰⁱᶜʰ ʷᵉ ᶜᵃⁿ'ᵗ ˢʰᵃʳᵉ ʰᵉʳᵉ.
Now, back to the things we did last week.
And the week before.
And the week before that. 😁

Routine.
The same feeding, therapy, positioning, personal care, water, comfort and everything else that keeps these children going.
Nothing new or particularly exciting to report.
But necessary.
Very necessary.

So, here we are … children, staff doing the usual Monday morning things and me, standing right inside the therapy room.
The work continues.
And yes, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. ❤️
You, where were you yesterdy? 😊

Friday, August 7, 2026.

11 am is water time here at Cerebral Palsy Center (CpCenter).

Cold weather or not, the children still get water. They can't tell us they're thirsty, so we make it part of their routine. Many drool a lot, which means they lose more fluid than they should.

Here is Baba, aka Fashola, having his water.
As I walked past, I didn't just see him. I saw comfort ... for him and for the caregiver.
For many children with severe cerebral palsy and oropharyngeal dysphagia (oral motor dysfunction), drinking water is a struggle.

But Baba has a gastrostomy tube, so water time is no longer one. He is relaxed, eyes fixed on the TV, while his water goes in safely.

The tube is expensive, but the comfort and safety it brings are priceless.
