POSTS STORIES REELS

In this colder weather it's important to wrap up, check in on those more vulnerable than ourselves. Take a warm to gift even. However I tried this with Bobo with a wool jumper I shrank by accident! He didn't appreciate the gesture! and stayed very still apart from his eyes! We found it very funny but looking back on it, was possibly not as funny to him?! bless him x

Hands up who gets upset when they kill an ant or spider or a fly! I don't even like hoovering up spiders webs. I believe that it is the smallest things / actions / events in the world that hold it all together and insects are the most important yet we kill them under foot everyday! To be aware of and to take care of the smallest on our planet is essential. #savethebees #saveinsects #wouldlovetodoabookaboutinsects #smallismighty #publishing by @cpedlerpics

There's so much going on in the world. It's some windy out there too! How you doing? I refuse to give up hope and believe that it may actually all be ok. Just like these two! always on the look out for hope through connection : )

I got home last night after a brilliant 24 hours in the company of incredible women who I shared 3 of my best years of going into adulthood @portsmouthuni Illustration BA. It felt like coming home, reminiscing on stories that opened up the inner depths of my memory banks. flooding them with funny anecdotes and happenings. People long forgotten brought back from the depths. We stayed up til the early hours and had to leave by 10am, and when I got home later that day I was so tired this is how I felt walking up to bed!
i recommend a reunion with good friends x

A quick sketch before bed! Bedding is such a great source of play. My friend Ali and I used to make blanket forts in my garden! loved it! and reading by torch under the bedding and playing hide and seek with Bobo just as fun. : )

Another sad one and maybe it should read what happens when you don't care enough. but hands up who is a bit rubbish with houseplants! I have loads and mostly they're great. But sometimes I let them down and I feel awful for not caring as I could for them. I'm off to water my plants! Maybe you should too : )

...caught in the act! this pair love trudging around in the mud!

it's impossible to bury stuff you don't want to look at more - your feelings, your thoughts or anything else for that matter, without getting into trouble somewhere!

How can stories aimed at children bring hope to all readers? A question I am contemplating because kids books tend to nestle themselves naturally in that space very comfortably.

Through my book The Accidental Gardener I explore big subjects through a simple storyline. of hope. In this story with me and him, I am beginning to ask what if? so instead of thinking along the lines that exist already in publishing, where the gates appear to be closed oftentimes, and the key being based on who knows what, I am pondering opening up a space where a community can tell story together? Where we can write a simple story together, for us all, based entirely in hope? who's in? starting with an open reading group reading only stories about hope in Redruth ? .
