CPFM is my ambient soundscape project. A counterpoint to the energetic music stylings of my @orekusound alias.

I’ve been working on a new project under the alias CPFM ( @cpfm.sound ) and am launching my debut album for the project titled “Monaro Skies”. I wanted to share some music that is a counterpoint to the energetic stylings of “Oreku”, So I created this alias to explore more subtle and emotive ideas.

For the debut album “Monaro Skies”, I wanted to share a personal journey that reflects on a pivotal time in my life when I was grappling with the profound grief of losing my father to a heroin overdose at the tender age of 13.

At the time, I was living in the Snowy Mountain region of southern N.S.W. Australia, and this album is a melancholic nostalgic exploration of the isolated and emotional landscapes from that period.

Each track endeavours to capture the beauty and haunting energy of the sweeping Monaro plains and sparsely populated towns, translating moments of sorrow and solace into ethereal melodies and atmospheric textures.

The first single “Creewah” is available today. Full album releases on @bandcamp April 4th.
