Cal Poly Pomona College Corps is proud to be part of #CaliforniansForAll which is a statewide initiative to engage college students in service🐴💚💛!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This month, we held our training session focused on our Community Building pillar with our partner site, Calibrate.✨

Through Connections, fellows had the opportunity to openly communicate, reflect, and connect with one another in a safe and welcoming space. These conversations encouraged fellows to learn more about themselves while building a stronger sense of community. 🤝

We’re grateful to continue collaborating with Calibrate and appreciate everyone who joined us. ☀️

Hey Broncos! 🐴

Spring is one of the best times to learn how to grow your own food! 🌷

Farm to Pantry (RS 4990/4990L) gives students the chance to combine in-person discussion with hands-on learning at the John T. Lyle Center for Sustainability and Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. ☀️💧🌱

Along the way, learn skills you can use beyond the classroom, including small-scale growing techniques you can use in your own backyard or garden. Students will get the chance to connect with the campus community and support the Poly Pantry. 💚💙

Open to all students! No experience necessary. Just come ready to learn, grow and Become by Doing.

Want more details? Visit @LyleCenter
to check out the Farm to Pantry Class flyer for times and additional information.

A glimpse of our Day of Service at the Lyle Center last week 🌱🪨

Throughout September, we’ve been reflecting on what service means to us and the “why” behind the work we do. Our time at the Lyle Center gave us the opportunity to experience firsthand what our partner sites have to offer and connect more deeply with the spaces we serve.

From weeding and mulching to rock hunting and creating herb bundles, we had the chance to care for and support the Lyle Center grounds while learning along the way.

Thank you to the Lyle Center for welcoming our cohort and giving us the opportunity to connect and grow together. 💫

Last week, fellows came together at the Game Room for our first Back to School U-Hour Social of the year. 🎮💫

The event provided an opportunity for fellows to connect with one another outside of their service sites, meet new people, and strengthen our sense of community. With activities including Jenga, ping pong, board games, and more, fellows were able to take a break, have fun, and enjoy time together as we begin a new year of service. 🏓

We look forward to creating more opportunities for connection, community, and growth throughout the year. ✨
