“Last night, we had two unexpected water main breaks. Our work requires emergency response times at all hours. Water quality and pressure are essential. Honor this work with a fair and equitable contract.” -Matt Weatherly, CPPW Member, Water Quality and Emergency Response. taken in Portland City Hall by @cppwunion

“I really believe in the power of unions, in my coworkers, and I want to create a good workplace for all of us. All the protections we have won are through organizing. We must stick together to keep what we have and fight for what we need.” -Candice Loveland, Bureau of Environmental Services, CPPW member.

CPPW won Tribal Leave in our first contract. Now it has been adopted City wide. Shout out to Indigenous PDX leader & CPPW member Kati R for advocating for the contract provision. #indigenouspeoplesday taken in Portland, Oregon by @cppwunion

CPPW is back in mediation tomorrow, 10/12. As a reminder: CPPW workers are essential workers. Our work is critical in keeping the City running. Without us, Portland doesn’t work! #essentialworkers #faircontractnow #cppwunion #unionstrong taken in Portland City Hall by @cppwunion

CPPW Union supports the Fair Share Tax to increase the CEO ratio tax. CEO salaries that are 50, 100, 500 times the median wage of their workers is outlandish and harmful to workers and to our community. This is good for small business and good for the City’s budget!

CPPW members, it’s time to vote YES for workers, YES for real COLAs, YES to wage increases and longevity pay.

How? Your YES vote on the strike authorization tells the City that YES, we are willing to strike for fair compensation and respect! The City doesn’t work without us.

Members can vote right now to show the City our collective strength. Everything we have accomplished to date is because you, our members, showing up and showing you care. When we fight, we win. Together. ✊

Strike School Success! CPPW members turned out in force for a full day of training and prep on our plan to organize a successful strike - should the City force our hand. One highlight was a panel of public sector union leaders with lessons from their successful strikes. Incredible day leaving us pumped and ready for the next phase of winning a strong contract for members!

Thanks to PCC Faculty Union @_pccffap_ for hosting us! And @evergreen_eea, @oregonnurses, and @flaurabunda for your powerful information on our panel today! by @cppwunion

After a long week at work, CPPW members let their hair down (or wig) and watched 9 to 5 together at the Siren Theatre. Check out some of these great outfits! taken in Portland Building by @cppwunion

Today started with a morning canvass with delicious coffee made by @aecafe.adam ☕️ Then I went to the Moda Center to rally with @sunrisepdx and @nakedhearts.pdx to demand that our tax payer dollars and Portland Clean Energy Fund dollars go towards services the public needs, and not into a billionaire’s hands ☀️ After that I joined my neighbors at the @seuplift candidate mixer 👯‍♀️ and finally I ended my day with @portlandneighborswelcome to meet with the advocates working to build housing in our city 🏡🏠 taken in Portland, Oregon by @cppwunion
