No more suffering or unjust enrichment! Make him pay, please! I deserve housing and time with my sons.

Well, it’s not quite done yet, but it sure is colorful. My paints and brushes will be arriving from down south soon so I can finish this large piece. Everyone has reminded me that our dear friend and neighbor, Nancy Caplan, worked diligently with The Parks and “Friends of Greenwich Point” to help complete the Innis Arden remodeling project and new roof, and this painting includes her bench. I would like to dedicate this painting to Nancy and Jennifer Caplan and Family. The fight for solutions to pancreatic cancer is still underway. Losing people we love too soon is traumatic, heartbreaking and hard. This was a really special friend, neighbor and I just would like to see her smile again. If we could all do one truly uplifting and positive thing for our Ocean’s, beaches, Parks and families this month that would be fantastic, and with Nancy in our hearts, work for our community becomes even more empowering. In the second screen of this post, you will see a young, newly enclosed male monarch butterfly being attacked by a wasp on the same plant. If anyone knows what kind of wasp this is, please let me know. The good news is, I hit the wasp with my iPhone and rescued the butterfly and put it up in a tree. From my experience, most butterflies that are released here go up into the trees and stay there for several hours before flying any further. They are not interested in nectar feeding until the next day after eclosure (hatching) from their chrysalis. Please make sure not to put them in a busy pollinator garden right away upon release. High up in a sunny tree without spider webs is safer at first, and from my experience, this is what they all have done on their own anyway! Trees offer protection and they can remain there, disguised as a leaf for as long as they need to before seeking food. For the record, this attack probably happened because the butterfly was too immature and should not have been there in the first place. I took this butterfly out after it hatched because it was 5pm on a sunny day, and I wanted it to experience the last few hours of warm sun. Luckily, I was right beside it, watching it when this happened, so I was able to rescue it. Please don’t release Monarchs before a minimum of 3 hours unless you plan to sit beside them in the sun and babysit them until they fly away on their own or up into a tree safely. Also, please don’t ever spray your trees because the butterflies roost or sleep in the trees and that’s during both the day and night—so there is no time that’s good to spray a tree with pesticides, ever!!! Sept 2, 2026: Monarch Release 16 and two music 🎵 Birthdays 🎂! (Full 🎥 on my YouTube Shorts)…
Monarch butterfly 16 eclosed today at 11:30am and was released at 4:30pm after a rain storm. She quickly flew 50 feet and 15 feet up into a holly tree. The symphony of crickets and cicadas continues on this 70 degree evening.
Sept. 3, 2026: Though thunderstorms were expected 2am to 8am, she waited out the storm and flew beautifully in the noon day sunshine this morning. I was able to identify her from the photos I took on Sept. 2nd and again today. They both had unique irregularities in the spots that matched her pattern on her wings with the butterfly in the photo the next day— every butterflies spots are slightly different, which makes it like a fingerprint so you can learn how to read the images to identify a particular butterfly. Number 16 is named after two female musicians born on Sept. 2nd:
Syleena Johnson, R&B singer @syleenajohnson
and Rosalind Ashford-Holmes of Martha and the Vandells (hits included “Heat Wave” and “Dancing in the Streets”. @firstladyofmotown @motownrecords

Syleena Roz the Monarch is gorgeous, an epic and graceful flyer, and she loves all the flowers in our pollinator gardens.

“Bidens aritosa” (6-7 feet tall with hundreds of yellow flowers that are loved by pollinators. Best for meadows. Grown from seeds from American Meadows.

False Sunflower 🌻 or Rough Oxeeye- This is a gorgeous perennial that just flowered and also came from the Monarch Highway Mix I planted last November 2025. 6-9 months to beautiful Swamp Milkweed, False Sunflowers and other surprises in the seed mix. Some of them don’t mature for 2 entire years. Stay tuned…
