Lego AFOL. Designing of Amsterdam Canalhouses and Speedchampions MOC
Even Lego posted my work

Here is my take on the Ferrari Daytona SP3.

There are not many 8-wide out there and i think i know why. It is a challenge to capture the lines of this already classic car. I have tried a lot of different design options before it really looked like i wanted. And with the parts i had available i think it quite succeed. Especially with that new Ferrari wheels that came with the last wave of Speedchampions.

Remember my lime green Huracan? The one that is still waiting for a like green windshield?
Here is an updated Lamborghini Huracan in orange.

I instantly knew i was going to build a new Huracan when i saw one of the Speedchampions from the Lamborghini pack with an orange windshield. Afterall i didn’t really like the Lego versions so i welcomed it as a huge parts pack. I must say i had a lot of fun building both cars and learned some new techniques.

So this is how it turned out. I think it matches the real Huracan pretty well.

Amsterdam by night 🤩

Finally i managed to install a huge part of lights. Im not ready with it but it is starting to look like something. Installing the lights and hiding all the wires is a massive operation and you really have to plan ahead because it is hard to do things over if it’s not correct.

I really think @lego has to consider to add lights in their sets, at least in the Modular series. This would be awesome.

The final pieces for the Dutch @ns_online train Hondekop type MAT’54.

This is the first @lego train i ever built.
The model is 7 wide, and that alone was a challenge. Next to that the Hondekop is one of the most difficult models to create in Lego.

I had much fun designing this one and i think it will not be my last train.

If you ever have been to the city of the Hague in the Netherlands in the eighties, and took the bus, there’s a high possibility you traveled with this DAF bus from buscompany HTM.
As a kid a spend hours in one of the most known buslines Bus 23.

Making a copy from the first one you built, seems easier than it is. When you don’t exactly know how you built the first one anymore, you need to be cautious when you dismantle the parts. If you accidently destroy the first one you have to start all over. And in this case i don’t want that because i am satisfied with the overall design.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.
