Took forever to finally get one of these but very worth the weight. This thing is amazing and has quickly shot up to the top of my favorite list. It flips so incredibly well. I definitely recommend getting one if you can handle the long wait or if you get lucky enough to spot one second hand for a reasonable price 👍👍

I call them Venus and Serena 😂 Twin sisters that are badasses 🤷🏻‍♂️ These two are my favorites that I’ve seen coming out of ELB. One is damacore and the other Takefu San mai. The fit and finish and attention to detail that Emmanuel puts into his knives are and always has been absolutely top notch. It’s a shame more people don’t give them a chance due to the fact that they run on bearings but these are on IKBS bearings which are different than your usual caged bearings. I personally feel like they flip just as good if not better than a lot of other high end bali’s. I was hesitant too before I tried one for the first time and immediately I could tell the difference between these and other bearing driven bali’s. I’d suggest trying one out if you haven’t

This was one badass mail call! The new @machinewise Serif with the shirogorov F95R NL

I was lucky enough to score a serif much quicker than I expected to. Normally I don’t do well with lottos/waffles/etc but I only had to wait a few weeks before I got picked. This is Serif #0030 and I gotta say, I’ve only had it a short amount of time but initially this thing kicks ass. I’ve been flipping it with the weights that come installed out of the box and for me the balance is perfect. It flips insanely well like all @machinewise stuff and has some seriously crazy and very unique acoustics. Roughly the same length as the slifT and a perfect weight. Very flowy flips and the attention to detail on these is absolutely immaculate. The texture feels great by providing better grip but not so aggressive that it’s uncomfortable. Fit and finish are impeccable. Almost zero handle play. If you’re on the fence about it or interested in it at all I recommend pulling that trigger

I’ve had tons of different bali’s in the last few years from krakens all the way up to balibalistics and there are some really good sounding knives out there but I gotta say this @jk__design full channel hand ground orca has the best sound I’ve heard lol. I never get tired of hearing it

Just got my babies back from @xkknives and he made these already amazing @jk__design orcas even better. Did a bunch of work on the blurple one and just tuned the hand ground orca to perfection. The orca is easily in my top 3 all time favorite balis

The @fellowship_blades Medusa

This thing is sick. Obviously it looks great but it also has suuuuper tight tolerances and the finish is on point too. Well worth the $450 it costs. It feels very similar to an orca as far as flipping goes. Great balance and that sound…🤤 Highly recommend snagging one of these if you have the opportunity

Halloween Weekend Mail Call Part 2

The @squidindustriesco tsunami. This thing is insanely good. This actually is surprisingly my first squid. Ive always wanted to check out a kraken but just never got around to getting one but when I saw this for the first time I knew I HAD to have one and it did not at all disappoint. It’s super light and I was a little unsure of that since I usually like a little heft but I figured worst case I’ll just pop in the optional spacer weight pins. Turned out that even with it being light as hell it still flips amazingly well and it flips so good that I still haven’t put any of the weight pins in. I probably will eventually but it flips great as is. The tolerances are immaculate. It actually feels as tight as a bearing driven knife but rides on bushing/washers. All I can say is that the hype is real. I’ve had a hard time putting it down 😂 The attention to detail on it is crazy. Lightly textured handles, jeweled insides of the handles, weight reduction milling, optional weight pins, and faux channel construction. Very much enjoying it

Halloween Weekend Mail Call Part 1

SWIPE TO THE END FOR SOUND CHECK

So I ended up receiving not only 1 but 2 highly anticipated grails over the weekend and I’m going to start with the @hansenmetals @jk__design V2 Monarch. This makes my third monarch and easily my favorite of the three. They added some more milling on the handles making them slightly lighter as well as a couple minor changes to the blade. I love how the new swedge looks and it still is incredibly balanced and flips like a dream which is what I’ve come to expect from anything joe or Julian put together. They’re definitely two of the coolest makers I’ve known. I have nothing bad to say at all about this bali

Some better pics of this San Mai ELB beauty. The V3 proflippers are a big improvement on the previous versions imo. Oversized pivot screws. Latchless spacers and slightly different handles. A lot of people think bearing balis aren’t good flippers but this things flips great. I would recommend trying one out
