favorites from about 1.5 years of figure drawing!

turns out I can scan and document so much work when I'm sick and stuck at home : ' )

--

random thoughts about figure drawing: when I started I felt really self conscious and unfamiliar drawing on paper after doing digital work for a long time....... but i got a lot more comfortable and confident going semi-regularly, both bc I think I got a little better at drawing, and a lot bc I learned to not care as much about being good. I met a lot of new people too that showed me different ways and places in life you can be an artist ^^

i haven't had much time to go this year but I hope I can go again soon~~ by @crabbyy013

my 2026 new years card! it's already march but I was waiting for the cards I mailed out to arrive before posting and then life got ahead of me : ' )

riso printed w aqua, flo green and flo pink at @punchkisspress and hand decorated with letter stickers for my friends (*´˘`*)♡ ̖́-

this is the second year I've made holiday cards! 2025 was a year of a lot of change and growth for me, and i had a nice time reflecting on my year while writing to friends and people that were important to me.

2026 so far has felt heavy and sad and not quite the future I wished for myself and my friends when I made these cards :( but I still want to find connection and light in hard times!

anyway yippee I'm sick and rambling thanks for reading a longish caption if you're here! by @crabbyy013

DONATION PRINTS (closed 2/6 - mailing soon!) - I printed these talismans and will mail them to u in exchange for proof of donation to mutual aid supporting families affected by ICE!

🫂 I'm supporting @ktownforall 's street vendor buy-out but your choice of a local fundraiser is also okay!

💸 more info on where to donate + google form for mailing info in stories/highlights!

--

these are 2.5x8in and riso printed on warm solar yellow and bright lemon yellow paper!

they are based on Chinese talismans/charms (I spent a long time debating what to call a 符 and now it's printed so I can't go back) that instruct spirits and deities for uhhh various things like good luck and health. this design is for us to succeed in abolishing ICE and for a little extra luck and protection for communities organizing to protect themselves. change happens when people organize and show up for each other, but if any magic cosmic energy exists in this universe I will wish for it too!

ALSO if you'd like to print these yourself for personal use feel free to reach out to me! by @crabbyy013

happy new year!! i learned to make linocut prints last year and made these new years cards for friends!
.
.
.
k I'm gonna ramble hahahahahahahaha

1. the prints!
2. close up! the texture of the ink sitting on paper! after only working in digital media for a long time it was really fun for me to make real things last year
3. the block ~ to make a multicolor print, i cut the block into pieces and for each print would separate the pieces, roll the colors onto each piece, re-assemble it and press paper on top of it. it was the first time i did something like this and it was a lot of work but very cool and rewarding!
4. my sketch + first test print

in 2025 i want to make more physical things and share more art on social media!
