Important Announcement:

Craft Coop has been part of your community for 15 years. We have seen makers sell their first piece. We have run creative sessions in care homes and with community groups. We have welcomed thousands of visitors through our doors and given hundreds of local creatives a place to grow.

We have also lost people along the way who made us who we are. Four years ago, we said goodbye to our co-founding director Deborah Jones. Her warmth, her vision and her belief in what community can do when it comes together - that is what drives us still.

Now we are taking a big step forward - for Deborah, for the wider community and for the next generation of people who will walk through our doors.

We are transitioning Craft Coop to a charity (a Charitable Incorporated Organisation), and to do it properly we need specialist legal and governance support. We are raising £10,000 to cover those costs - and we are asking our community to help.

Every pound goes directly towards this work. And in return:

- £10+ gets you a handmade thank-you card made by one of our Coopers
- £25+ adds a digital Coop Supporter badge
- £100+ includes a half-price workshop place
- £250+ unlocks a private craft session with Michelle, our Creative Outreach Lead - perfect for a community group, care home, workplace team or a celebration with friends

🐘 Have you met all the elephants? 🐘

The Trunks Across the Thames trail finishes this Sunday! Have you managed to see them all?

Over the following week, the elephants will be collected and brought back together to meet the herd one last time. 🐘❤️

🎉 Final Parade – Saturday 26th September

Following the end of the trail, there will be a special Final Parade event at Thames Hospice on Saturday 26th September, bringing all 91 sculptures together for a farewell celebration.

After the parade, the sculptures will either go under the auction hammer or head off to their forever homes.

Second Chance Crafts has been such a hit that we've run low on stock!

If you've got good quality crafting bits gathering dust - yarn, fabric, paper craft supplies, paints, tools, haberdashery, anything crafty - we'd love to give it a second life.

We’re big supporters of @thameshospice and their fabulous @trunksacrossthethames arts trail which is taking place across the wider area this Summer. Happy International Friendship Day! 💛

Friendship grows in the most wonderful ways. Sometimes over a cup of tea, sometimes while learning a new craft, and often through the simple joy of creating something side by side.

At Craft Coop, we’ve been lucky to see so many friendships begin around our workshop tables, through our community projects, and between the incredible makers who support one another every day. Those connections are at the heart of everything we do.
