DIY winter houses - glow and snow edition

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

1. We used a recycled cardboard to cut a circular base.
2. The tri-colour trees are back using paint chips (refer to our craft last Christmas)
3. Added glitter glue and snow flakes
4. For the winter houses, I drew different no. of windows for each house from 2 to 12. #numberrecognition activity for the kids too
5. They practised using the scissors by cutting the trees and houses. #scissorskills #scissorsandglue
5. Using glow sticks for the winter houses in the dark is so beautiful 😍
6.We also tried another way of playing by using a fork to create fake snow from the styrofoam.
7. And making a huge globe with styrofoam balls in it. They had fun blowing to make it snow. #letitsnow

Last holiday, the kids were playing with bubbles and ‘hot air balloons’ on the balcony, dreaming about the day they could ride in a hot-air balloon. 🎈✨

And during our Cappadocia trip, we made that little dream a reality. ❤️

It was truly magical to float above valleys, watching the sunrise over the fairy chimneys and seeing the world slowly light up beneath us. 🌅🎈

The kids were among the youngest riders on our Ürgüp Balloon ride, and they were so excited to receive their very own certificates. 🥰

Watching the balloons fill the sky over Göreme was another beautiful sight — one we’ll never forget.

I hope these little travel moments stay with them forever, tucked away in their childhood memories as they jot down their adventures in their travel journals. 📖❤️

Kuromi shaker 💜🖤

Turned a Kuromi hair supplement packaging into a fun little shaker with my daughter! We filled it with shapes, glitter and added commonly used words to make learning playful and hands-on. A simple upcycling craft with lots of sparkle and smiles. ✨🖤

Santorini 🇬🇷

Slow mornings with hearty breakfasts 🥞 , relaxing in the hot tub overlooking Oia’s sunset 🌅 and Fira’s stunning caldera 🌋 . Wandering through cobblestone streets, admiring the whitewashed houses and blue domes, and experiencing a unique stay in a windmill.

One unexpected lesson for the kids: in Santorini, toilet paper goes into the bin, not the toilet bowl! 🚽
