got prescribed meds so i can lock back in on my crafts guys don’t worry!!!!

i made 6 cutie little pouches for my best friend megan’s bachelorette trip using her wedding colors 🙂‍↕️ and obviously as your designated button girl i had to stitch on some for decor (yes i did this on the plane, i started this entire project monday and left thursday morning, this is innovation that excites)

btw i had the best time this weekend with my friends!! so many laughs and i love to celebrate megan 🫶🏼

i’ve been tossing and turning lately doing whatever til it fits right

i went to the national museum of american history and got to learn how to use a treadle loom… trust a weaving era is loading guys that was so fun

i also finally made it to the How Can You Forget Me: Filipino American Stories exhibit

i’ve lowkey started a 1970s magazine collection, it’s so interesting looking at old ads and seeing how things have changed

just some girls who knit idk them

another 1970s magazine ad

i hope that the end of the rainbow leads to gold (a free lifetime amount of beautiful and soft ethically-sourced yarn)

sorry, one second… i just need a new york minute 😌 by @craftmakencheese

project recap time 🤩 luckily i have purse 👜

FINALLY getting into sewing and being overly ambitious (delusional) with my project choices. such is the spice of life!

I made the free bowler bag pattern from @corefabrics with some cutie pie fabric that I got locally from @fabricplacebasement_alexandria 🪩

my fabric choices were NOT rooted in the pattern recommendations and were in fact chosen based on vibe and my love for the baggu sage green stripe print… I did see a green striped fabric but what can I say?? I love a gingham. the lining fabric is self explanatory, I mean look at it… it’s freaking cats 😼

thoughts & notes on the project:
- WHO let me sew with foam as a beginner??? yall will not see me doing this again any time soon
- zippers are surprisingly easier than I originally thought
- my straps are not well done and the fabric I used is so incredibly thin, I’m worried about the durability but that’s a future me problem
- I hate how the lining is attached on this project. sewing the lining and outer shell together was the peak of my crash out and it’s only stitched to the zipper so it just collapses in on itself inside the bag 🤕 I ended up stitches the lining to the corners and anchor points near the straps to stop it from collapsing

overall: I made it out alive 😝 now I have a cutie bag to match my matcha and, more importantly, it fits my knitting projects 🙂‍↕️ by @craftmakencheese
