Patchwork coasters are in my shop! One of the shoppers at the sale this weekend told me she keeps one of these coasters in her work binder and calls it her “meeting coaster.” She gets to be in lots of meetings in different schools, so she brings her happy coaster with her wherever she goes, so she always has a place to set her drink. THANK YOU to @vintageandmadefair and the nicest shoppers and vendors ever for a great day! A big thank you to my husband for setting up my booth…and helping other vendors. He is my favorite! I got to meet @maggielamphear from @joyintheseam which was a highlight! I know online shopping is fine, but I really enjoyed getting to talk to people to see what they liked or how they would use their items. We talked about sewing and quilting, works in progress, and plans for the future. These conversations meant SO much to me! Definitely a favorite memory I get to keep! This next week, I will be working to load my Etsy shop with allllll the things. THANK YOU!! by @craftycjaeger

My @vintageandmadefair booths over the years, and my vendor story: Years ago, we took a road trip to Des Moines to attend the @vintageandmadefair because I was curious. I wanted to see @purplepincushion @littleredporch and @downstairsdesigns in person. I had admired their work online, so we drove the 3.5 hours to go to this show in Iowa. Karl headed to the food trucks, and I got to see all the booths. It was a great show with so many different vendors, so we did it again the next year. I was a fan! Then, one day, I got brave and applied to be a vendor…and was accepted! Insert happy dance. Karl built all my display items. I sewed. The first show was in November at the fair grounds. It was really cold! Iowa in November is no joke. The shoppers were so NICE, and we had fun, so I applied again. We keep making little changes to improve the booth and are currently making a few more changes to improve the displays. I hope to make it the best booth I can for this last show. I am sad about this, but I hope I can stay connected online to the vendors, the nicest shoppers ever, and to Tricia. Tricia and her team work so hard to create a beautiful event, and I am so grateful to have been a part of this show these past few years!! Thank you, Tricia!! Now, back to sewing. @vintageandmadefair is next month, so it is time to SEW! Key fobs are in the works.

I used the good selvedges to make some quilted boxy pouches.

These are going to be little zipper pouches. I needed one for myself, so why not make 20 or 30?

If you find a lot of tiny vintage doll dresses, then you will make a mouse to go with them. Then your friend will spend hours drafting a pattern and sewing a dress to fit her own mouse, which then will make you want to make more mice to go with the little dresses you found at the antique shop.
