I watched a friend’s, (@fran48048 ), video on YouTube and realised it had turned off notifications. I went to turn it back on and got the above message. For the record it was a Pokemon speed painting video.

Seriously, wtf?

I had two lovely surprises this morning. First, one of my best friends @futurenostalgic stopped by for a visit 😁 Second, he handed me all these wonderful 1/64 scale figures for my rust bucket challenge! 😎

Over the moon 🌒 I’ve got some rl stuff to get sorted then I better get back on with converting the truck. I’m running out of time 😱

I don’t normally listen to audiobooks. I’m old fashioned, I guess, preferring to actually read a book. But I found some old sci fi novels on YouTube.

“The Dark Beyond the Stars” came out in 1991. I didn’t see it first time around. The name and the cover attracted me into giving it a try. I’m about half way through it.

Rough synopsis so far. The story begins with a young explorer having an accident on an alien planet. Fellow crew rescue him from the surface. It’s touch and go for a while however, he makes a full recovery except for a bad case of amnesia. The tale goes on from there.

I’m enjoying it but the thing that surprised me was how much science has advanced since it came out. Specifically how planets are formed and the rarity of water and carbon. Doesn’t spoil it for me. But then you can narrow science fiction chronologically based on the science sections of the stories.

I really wish we still had second hand book shops. Now the only place, apart from online, I can get them locally is in charity shops.

This is an advertising image for a TV show from the early 1970’s called, “The Frighteners”.

Apparently it was a 13 episode drama anthology series billed as a horror show. I’ve never gotten to see it. When the first half was screened I was just over 4 and a half years old. I was roughly 5 and a half when the second half came out. Too young to watch psychological horror. From what I’ve found out about it, the episodes can be creepy, disturbing and frightening but not horror as we would classify it today. The most horrific thing about it will probably by the language and attitudes of the characters in the stories. It’s of its time.

I was going to go off on a side note talking about censorship and using it to cover things up we should be talking about as adults but I’ll save that for when I’m not feeling so ill.

To go back to, “The Frighteners”. Has anyone seen it? I’d love to know people’s thoughts before I fork out for a DVD. Assuming I can find it that is.

Thoughts and comments below. Please and thank you.

Another piece of bipolar randomness….

So, I’m standing in the kitchen making a decaf coffee. No shade please. I’m on four blood pressure meds at the moment and caffeine can spark a manic episode. And the t-shirt I’m wearing has an annoying tag at the hem line. It’s bugging the c**p out of me. My brain goes into loop, ‘How can I fix this problem?’.

Follow my reasoning: I could just cut it off. That leave a scratchy edge or damage the t-shirt. Not ideal. I could use invisible thread and sew it down. That might spoil the line of the garment. On my flubby body who cares? I finally settled on hemming tape. Hence the picture.

I know totally non issue for most people. For me I stood there ruminating for a good 10 minutes 😂

Moral of the story. Look after your mental health. We’re moving into the dark, dank and gloomy part of the year. It has a real negative impact. I’m going to price up a sun lamp in this year’s fight. Hopefully, assuming I can afford one, that’ll stop me hurting myself 🤞🏻

Anyway back to finishing my coffee.

Guess these two ladybirds have had a falling out. They’re both walking off in different directions. I wonder what they were arguing about?

As threatened…. So cryptic has introduced the 60th Anniversary Prize Pack and started the next story arc for Star Trek Online, Rediscovered.

The prize pack includes too many items to list here. It’s a lot of a lot. Cheapest, best chance of getting a tier 6 ship from the zen store. It’s where I got the ship in my last post. If you’re quick you’ll get one for free at the minute.

Rediscovered is a wibbly wobbly timey wimey story about the Klingon War. I think. Haven’t played through it yet. Been levelling up the new ship the U.S.S. Sitar.

I know I’m being a total nerd and tbh I don’t really care. As clunky as it is I love Star Trek Online. It’s not without its faults but it makes me happy.

Always looking for fleet members. Otherwise I’m going to be 90 before I max out all the fleet holdings. Message me if you fancy joining 😁

I’m going to a proper post tomorrow but I picked this Nautilus science vessel for free from the latest Star Trek Online event.

It’s a fun little ship, I’m glad I chose it 😁😎 by @craftyseanuk

2 for 1. Didn’t get much more done. Ate my lunch. Took my meds. Fell asleep. Lol. I’ll try to get more done tomorrow.

Also the toys you get in kinder eggs can be great for parts and greeblies. Part of the green bit on the rocket ship is going to be the gunners seat on the truck.

My emotions are all over the place.

As you can tell, (Maybe?), I’ve started making some tiny oil drums. Supposed to be quiet in my hovel today.

Needed to make the tops and bottoms of the drums. Pretty straightforward right? Grabbed the first compass I could find. It was my grandfather’s. It’s older than me.

I burst into tears.

I blame all the crap the doctors got me taking. Back to modelling.

To a normal person that’s a toy truck standing on some plastic packaging.

To a crazy old coot it’s a donor vehicle for a model build standing on plastic sheeting that will make excellent shower curtains….

Yeah I’m getting a little obsessed.
