POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello, I’m Craig!

A theatre artist and writer, telling stories wherever I can - on stage, on paper, and in between moments.

This page is meant to be a little window into my world: the rehearsals, my writing, the characters I’ve loved, and the ones I’m still discovering.

If you’re here for art, storytelling, and the process behind it all… welcome. #TheatreArtist #Actor #Playwright #CreativeProcess #ArtistIntroduction by @craigbrauner

Thrilled to announce that I’ll be stepping into the role of Cliff Bradshaw in “Cabaret” at @thegreenhousecabaret.

This show is bold, haunting, hilarious, heartbreaking and more relevant than ever. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to tell this story alongside such a talented cast and creative team.

Willkommen. See you at the Kit Kat Club. 🖤

Inspired by @a24’s new “24 Hours With…” series, I thought I’d give you a little glimpse into 24 hours with me. And speaking of @a24… instead of 24 hours, could I have two minutes to pitch you my movie that I genuinely think @jlaw should direct and/or star in? I’m serious! #actor #playwright #screenwriter #a24 by @craigbrauner

I saw a quote @melrobbins shared that said: “If you knew you were 100 rejections away from your dream think about how excited you’d be every time someone told you no.”

Yesterday, I received another rejection letter. The festival I submitted my play to received 500 plays and selected only 8. My play wasn’t one of them. However, the festival director took the time to send me a personal email, sharing how difficult the decision was and that my play had been one of their top choices, but ultimately didn’t make the final cut.

That meant a lot.

This year, I’ve submitted 6 plays to 49 opportunities. So far, that has resulted in 4 acceptances. And now, another “no.” That’s the life of an artist.

We create. We submit. We get rejected. We get selected. We get close. We try again.

The important part is that we keep submitting because every “no” is one step closer to the next opportunity and maybe, eventually, that big yes. Keep creating fellow artists. 💜 #playwright #theatre by @craigbrauner
